Having greater weight in the front, due to the engine, it is generally recommended to run 2-5 more PSI up front. Any reason why you've done the opposite?

could be balanced wrong. take it back and tell them to rebalance and to make sure they use the right adapter. had to take my truck back twice when discount balanced them. they kept using the wrong adapter and it was getting vibes at around 55mph and up. if you gun it from a stop you should feel it vibrate if the balance it off.

I got my duratrac's installed at the local ford dealership and an alignment.

Tires felt soft so the next morning I checked the tire pressure.... 10psi in every tire

They also charged me $189.95 for an alignment, $130 to fit the tires and $38 for wheel weights.....

got to love living in a small overpriced town

thanks for the info...thats the way they came back from the install. You'd think they would know! I'm going to see how 32psi up front changes the ride.

Good deal. Let us know how it goes. Just a note, with the Ply of your tires, you might even consider going to ~ 36/front and 32/rear. Just a thought...

    comming soon!
Thanks to all for the replies and advice :) I'm headed Wednesday morning to a local Goodyear shop to see if they can address the problem. Talked with the service manager and he already called the home office on my behalf to help get the problem sorted out. Now what to do about the gouges in all 4 rims from Discount Tire's attempt at balancing the tires  ... who knows at this point. Just hoping for tires that don't wobble and shake the truck.

Got my 265/75R16 Duratracs today. They are balanced perfectly past legal highway speeds in most states. Love them so far. Quiet, just a very slight hum vs. the BFG Fails. Noise via an SPL meter is actually 1-2db LOWER than with the Fails over the same road at the same speed.

I believe that somewhere I've posted that I dont have any rubbing issues with my Duratracs either in this thread or a thread where someone was inquiring about these tires.

I must appologize for those posts b/c this past weekend I discoverd that my tires are rubbing both lower control arms at full lock with 265/70/17's which are on my Sport stockers and a 2.5" lift.

Other than that, I'm extremely pleased with the tires!

Got mine today and spent most of the afternoon pulling off the old set with spidertrax and then trimming plastic to make them fit, but they are all sorted and I'm stoked.

Question... do you need an alignment when you change tire size? My alignment feels fine, but is it important to get one anyway?

Also, is there anyone running 33's in D load? What pressure are you running? Any tips?

    D? Thought they were all C & E. I have 275/65/18 E load and run 45-50psi. Max = 80psi on E load. Wear is even.

15k mostly hwy 70-75mph and tread is still about 2/3 of new. Been rotating every 5k when oil change is done. Happiness.

Maybe it's a camber problem. I got mine aligned to "spec" and the camber is way too high, and at full lock my Revos are rubbing on the back of my lower a-arms as well.

Yeah, they make a D in 285/70/17 which is why I went with a 17" rim. I wanted a heavier duty tire, but E sounded a little too heavy duty.

Mine was bad in that it had 1.2 camber, and 1.3/ 1.5 caster which looked fine when you turned the wheel all the way either way (had about 0.5" of space between) but it was when at full turn going up an incline when the suspension compressed...it was lightly rubbing on the rear of both my a-arms. Had it re-done today, and the service manager said he got 0.5 camber on both sides, and 1.8/ 2.0 caster, and figured it shouldn't be a problem any more.
