I’ve currently got a 5100 front and back and OME 885 lift. I’ve got a 1.5” block on the rear. I’m getting a pretty rough vibration and suspect it’s from the blocks. What’s a good set of leaf springs that doesn’t break the bank and works well for the avg daily driver with just minor off roading. I’d like to keep the rear lift similar to what it currently is with the blocks, if that’s possible.

I have the mediums. I was afraid that heavies would be too much spring when I run with an empty bed. Now, I also have sliders and armor, plus a rear bumper, but when I loaded up the bed for a couple weeks in CO, I was hitting bump stops. That blows on trails. I already ordered the extra leaf. I would recommend heavies if you think it's possible to wheel with much weight. I didn't expect to, but wives and kids, plus friends with 2 door wranglers fills up my bed pretty quick. Just taking 2x 7gal water containers adds over 100lbs. Add recovery, sleeping gear, kitchen gear, coolers, and people, and it adds fast. I'm also looking to make a bed rack for more storage organization which will add another 50-60lbs. If you only wheel with 100lbs, you would be ok with mediums, but if you add armor or more gear, you'll want heavies.

I don't think Ima have a wife or kids in the passenger seat anytime soon and my buddies carry the recover gear so I'm really only carrying my gear, tools, and food. What do you think about reaching the leafs? There is barely any rust on them, they just look relatively flat. I think maybe just a rearch and/or an AAL would buy me some time?

The leafs in these trucks come that way. They all look flat. Even my OME leafs looked flat new. I wouldn't worry about that unless you have issues with sagging or lack of support.

Ohhh I didn't know that they normally look flat! In that case I'm debating just lowering my 5100 to 0 and resting the frame on my sumo springs. That way there is constant pressure on the bump stops and hopefully makes it a little more comfortable. If not, then I'll look back into a 3 leaf etc... Thanks again pilsner!

Yeah, I was a little concerned when I first looked at mine too. Used to seeing that nice big arch on truck springs.

Does bed weight capacity increase with the TSB 4 leaf pack compared to the pre-TSB 3 leaf pack? If so, how much? I have the pre-TSB 3 leaf pack and they suck.
