I’ve run non-studded RW11s since 2013. I just wanted to change things up and see if the Nokian hype is real.

My friend had 265/75-16 Duratracs on his Xterra and they were LOUD. They were raise the radio volume level loud.

I don’t mind my E-range KO2s. They ride harsher than stock, sure but I’ve never had a car that truly rode smooth.

I haven’t taken the KO2 through snow but the KO never played well with the OR electric brake booster and I didn’t love them. But for three season tires I love them.

Well guys officially put money down on a vehicle that literally was traded in today. Finally a helpful salesman. 2013 Infiniti QX56 with 67k miles. Finish paperwork Saturday.

I kind of bit my tongue at the Merc but I have a feeling you’ll be a lot happier longer term with a Nissan at least.

oh yeah, congrats if I didn’t say it yet. Cool beans man!

Thanks peeps. Yea at least it's a basic 5.6 v8. Most complex thing on it is the rear leveling suspension. No cylinder shut off to deal with or anything. Should be reliable for at least 5 years at which point no more daycare so we can afford something newer and nicer

Our monthly daycare costs for 2 are equivalent to a bentayga lease... approx 1.5x our mortgage.

We have cheap daycare and we are just about equal to our mortgage.

As soon as daycare gets cheap, I’m using the savings to move.

Bahahaha it'll only be two kids but 1400/month for an infant. Aka whatever I make this year for spraying frames will go towards daycare lol

Yikes, almost seems like you guys paying for day care would be better off scaling back hours at work

    Really?
    Think about it.
I never said they were cast into the tire. I said that is why tire makers use precision.

Please tell me where you fill your tires and the is not any moisture in the air your putting into to your tires?

I can only think of two places, pay for Nitrogen or you get it directly off a professional painting booth.

Nope, when you add benefits like insurance in etc, is better for us both to work. At least for the next one I'll get 12 weeks paid

Can't be any worse than the cupped at 40K+ miles AT3s that I have. Second set that has done that regardless of alignment and balances. Good tire for the first 20K or so miles-rapidly goes downhill from there in my experience.

I've had the original BFG ATs on 3/4 ton trucks and they were OK in snow, but sucked in rain. The BFG KOs I had were OK in snow, super scary on ice, and scary in rain. I'm not going to try the KO2s, but I have heard they are better than their predecessors.

Which flavor Nokians do you have? After I posted earlier, I looked and saw they have like 75 different versions of winter tires.

I don’t have a set yet, I’m still deciding which ones to do. It’s either the LT3 or the R3 it appears to me at least.

I’ll see what the local tire place offers and if for some reason Blizzaks are way cheaper I’ll go that route.

All depends, absolutely. My friend and his wife figured about 4 years ago when she got a promotion it would be cheaper overall for him to not work at all and stay home with the kiddos.

Man I spent like 7 months planning and choosing the right truck. Now y’all have me thinking I’ll be spending the next 2 years deciding what tires I’ll put on next :D

I love that you’re using that as benchmark of cost. My mortgage is 0.6 bentaygas  (I don’t know what it actually is).

o_O I thought you had two running around, my bad! But, holy shit. I’m in the wrong line of work!!! Thats nearly my mortgage every month, once I kill off the pmi it’ll be within spitting distance. Wow.

Well. Let me know the next time you’re spraying  (I’m keeping my bed on).

A lot of shops have filters on their air lines to pull moisture out of the air. It’s not perfect but we aren’t at the large hadron collider. It works just fine. We’re actually going through adding more filters to our shop air at work right now for some customer requirements, it’s fun.

 Sweet deal. I thought my company was good, we’re either 4 or 6 weeks can’t remember which. It’s paid by a third party, sort of a weird setup but :notsure: I looked when I started but I figure at this point if we had a kid, it’ll be 2-4 years and I don’t want to be there by that point anyway.
