    Hello all,
I am trying to fit my 08 TRD off-road with 3" suspension lift with tires that will fit best, increase in size and be great off road as well as on road. The wheel size is the OEM 16" that I am keeping. I would appreciate your recommendations. Thank you.

go with 285/75/16. These are good size tire for 3 inch lift. you might have to do some minor trimming but you should be good

    x2.

Be aware that some people also have to chop the cab mount when running this setup.

KPT, do you need to chop the cab mount if you are staying on road mostly? I was thinking about running this setup, but the cab mount chop seems like a lot of work.

With a 3" lift and OEM wheels, I'd go with a 265/75. Plenty wheel travel when wheelin' and more than likely zero trimming.

265/75/16 is what he has now, that should be stock on the TRD offroad...at least I think it is.

Has nothing do with going off road. It can rub when the wheels are at full lock.

Also, if you want to fit that size on stock wheels, you will need 1.25" wheel spacers for the front.

I have a 08 taco with a 3" lift. Just put rims with 4.5 backspacing with 285/75/16 and had to do some minor tirming. nothing to difficult or extreme. Looks good now.

Good to know. Tried to order the Spidertrax but they are back ordered until December. With the spacer, will that solve the body mount issue or I still may need to cut?

Without the wheel spacers, the 285's will be un-usable. They will rub on the UCA badly.

With spacers, you may still have to chop the cab mount.

I'm not sure whether the TRD Off Road wheels have the same specs as my TRD Sport wheels but I'm very happy with my 285/70-17 tires with Spidertrax wheel spacers. I had to do a considerable amount of trimming of my inner-fender (about 1/3) but do not have any clearance issues with my UCAs. Depending on where you're at in Mass, you could get a look at my setup if you'd like.

265/75/16's are about an inch taller than stock. you could run those without any rubbing. If you go with the 285's and you want to keep the stock wheels. You will rub pretty bad and will need wheel spacers.

If you put new rims and tires on, does the tire pressure warning light stay on?

If you don't put the tpms in the new rims, the light will blink over and over and over again.

my minor triming was cutting the plastic from the front of the front wheel well. A 2 min job.

Your Truck looks great, very nice combination and great color, hahaha. I have the TRD off-road so the wheels are 16" and the tire would be 285/75/16. You mentioned that you used 1.5 wheel spacers, it was also recommended to use 1.25 wheel spacers. Is the difference because you run the 17" wheels? I am also planing to paint my wheels black, did you do it your self? or you had it done by a shop? Thanks for replying and your input.
