I've not done my homework at all for this test......

the 51's in the front, and the 61's in the back right? the 61's are bigger? meaning they dissipate heat better?

I really would like the full OME leaf packs, but the price is just killing me.
any "kit" I see out there is just about 2k in USD!
that's just waaay out of my budget.

    ******edit*****
based on what I just posted below, I had it backwards, and it makes sense. the beefier shocks up front since the IFS is doing lots of work.

Yeah, seems to be holding up great. Still sits nice and level, and the ride is still good. The leafs have gotten alot more squeeky the last few months, but it's a truck, I guess, lol. I don't haul too much, but have hauled dirt, furniture, and motorcycles, and it does seem to squat alot less than stock.
I would have loved to have gone with the Dakar pack, and nicer shocks and UCAS, but it was all about the $$$.
But I'm still happy with it, no regrets, for what I use it for.

I *think* I figured out my lift.

    Billy 5100's all around
    Ome 886's
Deaver AAL ( or the HeadStrong 3 leaf AAL if they come back in stock late Aug )

already purchased is the freedom off road UCA's and I have extended braided brake lines.

Comments? suggestions? know a friend selling some of this used?

also what else do I need? apparently the Deaver AAL can re-use the U-bolts ( which I have no problem doing ) and the HS 3Leaf AAD comes with new U-bolts, so I think I'm good? yes?

The two places I'm planning on getting prices from are the Robin hood Off Road on FaceBook, and 4wheel parts ( obvously the HS leafs need to come from them )

I may have some brand new U bolts from when I thought I needed them for my AAL in my Dakars, let me double check, but I am about 99% sure I still have them, if I find them I'll PM you, you can have them, save yourself $20 or $30, or whatever they cost, I don't need them

I'm not sure that the 5100s mate well with the heavy spring rate on the 886s. That is based on something I've read and not experience.

If you are ordering a set of 886s, maybe I could piggyback on the order and defray shipping...

Now that you say that..... I do recall such a post when I was searching for what to do with my lift. Nitrochargers (or whatever OME calls them now) may be the safest option for the 886s

On a side note, I read a thread a while back which I thought was in the Tonneau cover/cap/shell section, but search isnt turning up anything, it was about about a guy who made a foldable bracket that retracts a rack/cargo basket to the top of the inside of a cap. Anyone happen to see or maybe have saved such a thread? I was trying to explain to my gf what I would like to do in a highrise cap (if one were, or were not on a truck that I may or may not be interested in)

I didn't even know what a KLR is until yesterday. Now that I have found my spirit bike I feel compelled to get one...

    I think you absolutely should!

My next bike will be a dual sport. So I'll be able to chase you down all the trails!

Also, since I'm an addict now, and I've come to realize the equation for the number of bikes you need is N+1, N equals the number of bikes you currently own.

    Welcome to a new addiction.

Dad was talking to a buddy of his in NFLD, he said in the 6 years he owned his Harley he put 1200k on it. He's got a GSX-S now and only put 172k on it so far this year lol. I imagine the novelty wears off after a couple years.

What kind of bike is that? Looks like the tank says Triumph? Is it a triple??

This year with Covid and working from home it just didn’t make sense to pay for the insurance and registration. I normally put 5000kms or so on a year.

Yeah triple. It’s a 2011 Daytona 675 that was basically new when I bought it in 2012

The Covid stuff really screwed up a lot of things.

I was at the DMV 45 minutes early when I went to register the bike, 14 people in front of me and 50+ behind me by the time they opened. What a shit show that was!

    Well I fucked that up.

Good news is I got all the dirty old fluid out, bad news is I let the reservoir get too low and sucked a big old air bubble into the master cylinder, now I have no clutch.

Any ideas? Letting it "gravity bleed" for now but not holding out much hope.

x2 to lots of pumping. It's not the end of the world by any means!

I have a vacuum pump you could borrow.

Bleeding the clutch is similar to bleeding brakes, but when you're pumping it up you'll have to pull the clutch off the floor for the first couple pumps.

Might have to take one of you up on that offer, I have zero pressure on the pedal right now so pumping isn't doing much.

@TacoMitch93 you live near Sackville right? Where are you @Snowman?
