    i haven't had a "vacation" since June 2018. Unless you count the week I was out with the flu in March 2019. Haven't had more than an extra day here and there since.

    can't. i'm a one woman show....no back up for me. so any time i take off the work just piles up. i dont want to come back to a week's worth of work...nothing gets done while i'm gone. so its an extra day here or there.

    COULD I take a vacation? Sure. I get three weeks a year. BUT there is no one to take over for me while I'm gone. I had a decent helper this winter but he got laid off thanks to COVID. So no help for me now. If I leave, the work just piles up. So no rest for me. This last month has been crazy too. 15-20 hours of work on my schedule every day. Stuff just keeps getting pushed out and there's nothing I can do.
    I took this coming Monday off and the following Thursday just to use up some 2019 vacation time that I'm going to lose if I don't use. Even taking one day is going to be an issue.
    Not looking elsewhere right now because I have the ability to work from home at the current place. And I do like the people and the work. Its just too much for one person. THey'd be lost without me. Money isn't bad either...truck payment, camper payment, rent, etc etc... and I still tuck $1k away in savings every month. :notsure:

    As long as it is balanced between pay and time off. And you like the work.

    I get 6 weeks and 7 floating days. But everyone I work with gets the same and I pick last.
