Swapped out the base Tokico rear shocks for 3rd gen OR Bilsteins. Rotated the tires while I was at it. Next is switching out the front suspension to the same.

I found it on ebay. I think the seller was Southland Toyota.

So excited to have installed my new topper this week. Wired up a 3rd brake light with a quick disconnect. Brake light is mounted to a small steel bar with rare earth magnets on the inside of the topper so, nothing permanent. Also wired and installed led lights underneath the bed rails. I didn't want to add the velcro to my tailgate so I added velcro to a magnetic strip and attached to the velcro on the inside of the back window. The magnet is not very strong, but holds it to the tailgate.

Changed out fluid in my rear diff, transfer case, and front diff. Used supertech full synthetic 75w-90.

All plugs came out easily, except the front diff drain plug. Got it but it took some force. It's a little sloopy, so I'll definitely be replacing it next time.

Old fluid looked pretty good. Truck is new to me as of May, so I didn't know how fresh the fluids were.

What kind of magnets did you use? I did the Velcro and magnet strip too. I used this and it holds fantastically. Even at highway speeds.

Ah. It was something similar to what you used. Probably about 1/2" wide.

is that a 2nd or 3rd gen topper?
Looks like a 3rd gen due to the lower roof line

I wonder if shortbed softoppers can be camped/slept in somehow

Made door harnesses for my power mirrors (still waiting on the pass. side mirror connector). I also made the harness that goes from the passenger door to the switch and driver door to the switch.
Mapped out the wiring for the fuse boxes and going to start wiring those up later today.

I would shoot you a direct link, but my work computer won't load their website. I'll do my best to describe the options I chose instead.

I went for the 2 channel version (P/N DR750S-2CH), which has front and rear cameras. I also ordered a Power Magic Pro hardwire kit so I can use parking mode. I bought a 10 pack of mini add-a-fuses from Amazon, since they are much less expensive than those sold through BlackBoxMyCar. Similarly, I did not opt to buy an SD card as part of the camera package from BlackBoxMyCar; I got a Sandisk MAX Endurance 256GB card from BH Photo Video instead, which is arguably the best SD card for dashcam applications on the market today.

I thought I had finally sold my OEM roof rack after months of trying on FB Marketplace. Met the guy out of town and he rolled up in an access cab. I have a DCSB (which was stated in the ad) so no sale. Great guy though, we had a nice chat. He is attempting to set the Guiness record for snowmobiling on water, which I learned is 43 miles. He plans on going for 200+ miles and refueling mid-trip with a jet-ski like a jet fighter would.
