Didn't do anything yet, but I ordered a snomaster LP96. Next will be slides from mcmaster-carr and then it will be time to do some test fitting under the diamondback.

@dal3_gribble: damn son. that looks delish! on a personal level i just love a good polished setup. wheels like american force, welds, even centerline, when they actually had skin in the game. tw doesnt like chrome, and even me to an extent, but when you can polish your wheels and your aluminum blings like chrome? just simply...exquisite.

Where did you get those seats done?? I really like those. I've done something very similar on the interior of mine. It's all quicksand, though.

Thanks! We're totally on the same page. I had Welds on my old Chevy, and I actually found polishing relaxing and fun. I think I would have them totally professionally done once a year. Chrome can't touch the look of polish. I guess it's just a little darker and warmer if that makes sense?

@dal3_gribble: yeah man i hear you! just love polished wheels. they are so forgiving. you can treat em like absolute trash (not that i have!), and bring em back to square one just like that. try doing that with chrome, or painted wheel. no way. check this out. never had the chance to get these mounted. but these are 20x14 weld t56. ended up selling the truck a couple weeks later for a brand new powerstroke. i dunno how i feel about that deal in hindsight lol.

Oh my god those are huge. Welds go for a fortune now. I think polished wheels are going to make a comeback. I personally am tired of the black rims with cheap machine accent designs which make up 90% of current wheels I see in the offroad shops and on the road.

@dal3_gribble: ahahaha. yeah. this is the same truck before i went all crazy with lift and wheels on that build. i call v1 the tacoma world special cause its all about keeping it conservative. this was circa 2013. and i do hope polished wheels come back. weld racing actually went down for the count several years back. only recently they reemerged. i think one of the owners branched off and created bmf wheels and just recently reacquired weld. thats why you see the wheels starting to come around again. the pic below im also running welds. these was 16x8 i believe; stonecrushers.

I know it doesn’t count but I did use my Tacoma to pick the parts up for this. Also the tinkering with the truck gave me the motivation to tackle this one. Replaced a Curt which was simpler to install but really took a bite out of the departure angle which was already pretty lousy.

How much are the interior handle covers? Nothing against meso (as I damn near have every one of his products) but I bought actual black door handles for my 3rd gen over a year ago for pretty cheap and about a 5 min. install. Are his plastic that just slip over the chrome handles?
