Not a huge money focused person and he’s been trying to get that blue sea box for a while now. Worked out perfect. Now I’m gonna by some URD headers if I can’t find someone wanting to sell a set lol

Tore all through the battery wiring and checked and remade every connection. Measured the voltage drops with all the major players running and not. Neighbor lent me her charger/tester to use, and after I checked the voltages, I tried it's "Alternator check" which is NOT in the instructions. However, she told me that when she used it, the little engine icon blinked, and a battery icon showed bars, and they read a voltage. When I tested it, I got the engine and battery icons, but no bars,, and then a blinking exclamation mark! We don't know what that means.....
I have had it on "recondition" mode since 2 PM, and going to let it do it until tomorrow. I get my charger tomorrow. Then I will charge it for a full day.
I remain suspicious that there is a failed cell when the battery gets hot, and the alternator can't get it thoroughly charged.

I had to get jumped twice this week, after going to Lowe's and WalMart. Both times, I come out to start the truck, and my meter reads only 11-12V and drains to 8 immediately. Obviously, won't start. Less than 10 seconds on a jump, and I am fired back up. Starts for morning tests, and the quick errand before I went to WalMart.
Went by AutoZone (Duralast Gold), and the guy said the charge was "too low" to check anything else. He told me someone needed to "check the wiring" after he looked inside....



Yeah, it's a real mess.....

 

Evening gents, finally made it out to the coast for a little R&R, but its freakin hot and humid as he down here. PINS is still closed but whitecap beach area is still open, which is the area our airbnb is located. Crazy as many times as we come down here, never been in this little area. Pretty clean beach and everything, only downside is you gotta lug all your stuff down to the beach, which is a pain to say the least. All in all good first day.
