Wait wait wait, the tune itself corrects the speedo for tire size and gear ratio? Can you confirm that?

So I understand that it is important info for writing the tune itself, but we have been told for years that the Engine ECU does not control the speedo readout and we would need a separate box spliced inline with the speedo wiring to correct for that issue. I'm not saying your incorrect, I am hoping you are correct, just trying to verify before I waste a ton of time doing something that may or may not be possible. @OVTune

From what OVTune is saying, it seems to be Magnuson used VFTuner to make the tune. So is it an editable tune?

If we already have VFTuner, can we buy the SC without the tune?

Also if it is VFTuner, then the tune cannot control the speedo.

from what we just did, the programming once uploaded with his tire size and gear ratio corrected the speedo. he never did when he went to 33s and it is now correct.

Same here. I wonder what it is that Magnuson's tuners know that no one else does. I guess its time to start digging in.

Lets see some 0-60. I'm pretty sure my ovtuned truck will accelerate that fast from 40-60, especially if you're starting at 3krpm.

Without knowing all the variables; Tire size, gears, etc.. you can't make assumptions.

Was that WOT? Seems to gain speed about the same rate as a stock truck.

Right. Mat has stated several times before that the speedo isn't controlled in the ECU.

    This has my interest now.

Not saying it is. What I'm saying is that they're using the worst possible setup to show any gains. The truck already has good power above 3k rpm, and I've never wanted for power to pass someone on the interstate.

It doesn’t matter what he video tapes it doing. It’s not going to shock and awe you. You won’t be able to quantify the improvement without being behind the wheel

Does any one have any dyno charts yet? Like mentioned, this truck doesn’t really need help in the higher rpms, it needs help sub 3k rpms as it is gutless. If this SC can put the gains in the every day driving rpm range of 1500-3k rpm, it will be fantastic, and worth it my own personal purchasing opinion. If not, then I don’t need to spend $7k to still have to rev up the engine constantly to feel the power, as my truck where I live at sea level does just fine when it’s at high rpm, and actually pulls pretty damn well.
