If I decided to let it go I'd ask 12K. For what the rig is capable of I think that's fair value for it's condition and mileage.

So my plan was to buy a trail creeper tacoma crawl box which is 4.7. With an auto will that cause issues? Breaking cvs?

Fuck, if he were pulling the case today I could pick it up this afternoon.
I'm going backpacking from Sonora Pass and taking off straight from work tomorrow afternoon so I'm gonna be long gone.

North on the PCT. Just a weekend out and back thing. I'll probably hike Sonora Peak on Saturday. I've gone south of there a few times like 10-12 years ago.

I haven't been backpacking in a long time or hiking very far. I climbed Mt Dana in June via the Dana Coulior (9.5 miles w/6600 ft of elevation gain) and it cooked me. I'm taking it easy this time.

Sounds like a good trip. The Dana Coulior off the couch is never fun. My early season litmus test in the East Ridge of Mt Humphry. 7000' vert but there's actually a lot more when you consider the elevation changes on the ridge itself. If I can do it under 10 hours I know I'll be good for the season. This year was 12 1/2 hours. I'm way out of shape. lol

I thought 4.7 was what we wanted for the best combo of possible ratios since we already have a low range of 2.57.
That would give us (got this from Marlin's website):
High Range (1.00:1) ← TacoBox in High, T/Case in High
Factory Low Range (2.57:1) ← TacoBox in High, T/Case in Low
TacoBox Single Low (4.70:1) ← TacoBox in Low, T/Case in High
TacoBox Dual Low (12.08:1) ← TacoBox in Low, T/Case in Low
