The fan switch note triggers me...previous owner installed switch activated e-fans on my truck and the Toyota dealer I bought it from wasn't aware. Nearly overheated the truck on my drive home after I bought it because I didn't realize you had to flip the unmarked switch by the cig lighter to activate the fans lol. Fucking hated those things

They're needed for standalone systems like my C4 that runs a painless wiring harness; fuel pump, electric fans, etc all run on their own circuit.

There's always the usual bag of ice on the intake manifold between runs but running the fan by itself helps too.

But for a daily driver? Makes no sense.

I think his thinking was that e-fans would give a bit of added performance since the fan clutch uses a (negligible) amount of engine power. But why he wired it in to be switched on/off and not just come on automatically is beyond me. Those e-fans did a shit job anyway, still had overheating issues offroad with them on. Never once had any issues with the fan clutch

You can add temp probes/sensors to come on at a specific temp, but now you've got way too many moving parts vs the stock setup.

Good thing you're running the stock fan setup.
