I'm still working through my 7.62x39 stock that I bought in 2008 for $79/1000. For 9mm, 5.56, and 7.62x51 I buy bulk whenever the prices and availability stabilize. As for 7.62x54R, I think I have enough to last through another siege of Stalingrad...

I don't think I've been to a gun show in over a decade. I do miss the days of the $125 Norinco SKS and $250 Norinco AKs... :frusty:

    Nice.
Prior to COVID I typically pick up 150 5.56 every other Friday so I'm doing okay there. I should've done the same with 9mm. Just started getting 7.62x39 in February but I made a point to grab a few boxes on my way home from work every Friday. So again, doing well there. Really kicking myself for not loading up on 9mm in the same way.

Not bad (right now)! Can't drop that $ as I'm in line for a CZ SP-01. Probably wiser to put $ into ammo now rather than more guns but this one practically jumped into my lap.

I havent bought or shot 7.62x54 in years. Finally realised that there are better surplus rifles than the garbage rod. 8mm being one of my favorite calibers to shoot.

Thanks! It's a 1978 Romy PSL with a factory matched PSO scope. I did the pistol grip conversion myself and had the barrel shortened and threaded by Red Jacket (it was in their shop when History channel was there filming for the pilot episode of Sons of Guns).

It now has an Ultimak extended AK lower handguard and I think the stock adapter insert is from ACE.

Thanks. The stock was from Ironwood Designs. LOP was a little much (a little longer than an A2 stock on an AR). I layered mahogany and walnut stains to get the depth and color I was looking for. I might have mixed in some cherry as well.
