Maybe.. but I haven't seen that happening. This comes from personal experience - we lost two Marines in my company to suicide during my five years. One of them was my lance coolie.. it f'n sucks.

Sorry to hear this man. I had one of my close battle buddies get killed back in Afghanistan in 06, but no one to suicide. A permanent solution to a temporary problem.

 

I blocked the lady. She tried to call earlier. SMH! Does she really think after her exchange with me I was going to give her an opportunity to still buy it? Apparently she does. Lol!

 

Good move. She's the type that will complain about it after purchasing it.

By the way @baldridge i tried to trade a bunch of cabbage patch dolls to @stronghammer for his Tacoma on marketplace. Figured he’d get a kick out my reply.

Seriously though I’d definitely stay away from the nuts. When I buy anything of marketplace it’s pretty straight forward and if I want it I want it and meet and pay then done.

 

Ive been pretty luck with most people being chill but this lady is the first crazy besides your usual is this available person.

 

I'm still quite disappointed it wasn't a real offer. We were at our wedding shower and I got a major kick out of it not knowing who you were. I was like "get a load of this guy". It was hilarious, then you revealed who you were and I honestly was a bit bummed. Thought it was an offer for the ages!

Or ppl who are flakes who even drive half way to meet you only to ask were are you again and then they say its too far? Like what? I sent you the address and you agreed to meet me.

 

Yeah I got burned one time after that I only meet 1 block from my house (when I was in another state) no exceptions

 

The “is it available” and flaking has a lot to do with facebooks super sensitive messaging. I’ve accidentally messaged people and then said sorry I didn’t mean to send that.

same, I always say I’ll meet you at this McDonald’s 1/4 mile from the house. My profile still says Clanton so it works out as being half way or me driving farther than them. Lol

I've had something similar a while back. Wanted to meet around 2pm and I wasn't available until after 4. They had the audacity to say you shouldn't sell something unless you're available when I want it. So I did the opposite and said okay no problem I'll meet you at 2 and I didn't show up.

 

I used to try and meet people to be nice, but somewhere around the start of the 'lock down' I just quit. My wife sells kids stuff for a great price just to get it out of the house. People would jump all over it and then back out when it was time to come get it (mostly b/c we live 18 miles outside of HSV). Some ask to meet and i'm like yeah for an extra $20 I'll meet up to 30 minutes from my house. Anything that I have sold is normally truck related and I tell them just to come to the house. It's a fare price and if you really want it then you will drive out here to get it.
