So I have a 3” front suspension lift with the 2 lift in the back. I just had 285/75/16 put on the truck and they will rub. I’m kinda confused on why. Everything I have read said I would not get rubbing with that lift and that size tire. Any suggestions?

My suggestion is to cut the cab mount, massage your plastic fender liner and push as much caster out of it as you can.

I'm not the SME here but I'm pretty sure you have to do the CMC to fit that tire size?

get an alignment from a reputable shop, but also it depends on our wheel offset

This may not be a ton of help but maybe some encouragement. I bought mine with a 2 inch (sales guy said 3 but the Toytec sites says 2) lift with 285/70/17’s which I believe are REALLY close in size to the 285/75/16. They did replace the UCA’s with SPC’s which have a lot of adjustment. I don’t see that there was a lot of cutting and chopping and stuff and mine does not rub at all. I can take pics of the components and wheel well if you want.

    Where is it rubbing?

Usually over 2-2.5" you need new UCAs that will adjust to bring the alignment in and give you more castor. And may still have to do other work.

I think adding the SPC UCA’s is all they did with mine to fit the 285/70R17’s on a 2 inch lift. Not that familiar with the looks after cutting and chopping but here is mine and looks like nothing was changed?

    Tuned, geared, armored, BP51s...
I'm at the alignment shop now funny enough. I just did a 3" lift off BP51s and I'm running 285/75/16s and they're rubbing my cab mount. I also have SPC UCAs so I'm hoping a little bump in caster will do it.
I'm hoping to not chop the cab mount and keep my tires... I'll be able to update in a couple hours

uh, how much reading did you do? It’s pretty clear if you did research that rubbing is very likely.

If you take a picture of the LCA cam bolts we can tell if the castor was the reason you don’t rub off road. Would be useful for OP.

I think you misread or mistyped. I’ve not heard of many people fitting 285/75r16 without rubbing. On the other hand, many people report no rubbing with 255/85r16 (30mm narrower).

The offset of your wheels, as well as aftermarket suspension components CAN mean no rub. Very specific situation, a thread was made on here of that happening. However it had a blanket misleading statement initially.

This is the driver side. The very front is hard to see because it’s behind a skid partially.

Not sure I know what that means in regards to the Pro wheels. I have asked on this forum but no one answered. I just think of the SEMA show...lolIMG_1515.jpg
