I have a 2020 TRD SPT DCLB, will this work??, It seems like it will, or is this only good on certain pkgs??I hope to have parts by Saturday. Will this interfere with remote lock for tailgate?? Selling dealership told me one or the other, not both..just curious. Wondering if dealership is on level. Has Cargo light in cab.

Pop your tail light off and check for the plug. Shouldn't involve the tailgate lock unless its wired up to your cargo light for some crazy reason...

That is what I thought I asked another dealer, and he pretty much said what you said and I thought. I just think the dealer is giving me a line...

I just installed the OEM bed lighting kit in my 2020 Tacoma Access Cab 4x4 SR. All I needed was the LED kit (PT85735200, $54) and the Deck Lamp switch (842670C020, $69). I ordered the relay (9008087026, $15) but ended up not needing it. Mine already had a relay in the correct spot. It was easy plug n play and they look great.

Just installed my OEM bed lights a few hours ago and I gotta say they throw a good bit of light. I’m impressed.

Rear sliding window, intermittent wiper switch, center console tray, glove box organizer shelf, WeatherTech front mats and mud flaps, 3D MaxSpider behind-the-front-seats mat, bed lights, MESO climate control rings, XPEL tailgate protection, Desertdoesit.com seat jackers, RAV4 radio knobs, glove box letters.
Yes, I may get these lights since the rear above cab light is just a brake light--no clear LEDs there and any additional bed lighting would be great. I don't have any switch below and left of the steering wheel so I imagine I'll need that as well. Is that switch plug and play, too? I guess I should look for that relay first before buying that...

Do you have any references or guides on how to install the switch? The lights installation guide were easy enough to find, but I can't find how to install the switch. Thanks!

Yes, would be great to see how the switch is installed for novices like me! Appreciate any info!

One other question is if I will need the relay. Attached are 2 pics of my fuse box. If anyone can let me know I'd appreciate it.

I do not have the cargo light switch already installed on the dash--just a blank dummy plug. Already got the switch coming though. Not sure about the relay or fuse needed...

Page 8 has a post showing the relay location. It is behind the panel that you remove to install the cargo switch, not in the fuse box under the hood.

Thank you. I see that I do have the fuse.

I will have look behind the panel when I remove it to see if there's a relay or not. Or just buy the darn thing and have it just in case!

Here's some photos for folks who want to see what's behind the left bottom instrument panel. Or at least what's behind mine! 2020 SR Utility.

Easy to remove the panel with plastic removal tools by the way.

Took a pic underneath/behind the panel before removing it so you can see it from that viewpoint.

Looks like I have the required relay so now I just wait until the bed light kit arrives.

Will take more photos of the tail light removal if needed.

Thanks everyone. Hope these photos are a help.

Installed the bed lights and switch today. Very simple install thanks to everyone here on TacomaWorld!

My SR already had the relay and everything works great!

So, has anyone with a 2016-2019 installed these bedlights?

The lights turn on when you open your door along with your interior lights and turn off automatically with them as well when you close the door. The switch lets you turn them off completely, use the 'door' option or turn them on as you need to.

Others may be able to confirm this but that's how mine is working.
