I just recently purchased a 2010 Tacoma with a 6 disc cd and Radio that says it is Satellite capable. How do I find out who manufactured the radio and what the serial number is for a satellite membership?

If the Sat radio receiver is already installed you can simply press the XM button and then go to channel 0. It will display the S/N on the screen.

The satellite radio is not installed as yet. I need to purchase the SCC1 and shark fin adapter to complete the installation. The window sticker indicates th radio is Satellite Capable but when I checked thru my dealer they wanted over 300 for the final installation. I am just in the process of collecting information and cannot find anything indicating who made the radio.

Probably made by terk or audiovox. sometimes there is an adapter you can use to connect a standard audiovox tuner to the stock HU. Not sure about the tacoma though. otherwise you will need the OEM parts.
