Is the overhead console still an option? I’m going to eventually add a front locker and 2lo switch up there on a custom MESO switch panel.

I have the samples and have looked them over quickly. They are nice, just like the 2LM. I was away Monday - Saturday last week and I have not had time to check out fitment of the overhead console one, but as long as there is room to stuff it above the headliner it will be an option.

Where did you order these harness/connectors from? I'm curious about the source because I am interested in making my own harnesses

Corsa Technic is a good resource for a lot of the connectors used on our trucks. Eastern Beaver has a smaller selection, but ships fast. They require $15 expedited Fedex due to COVID (for some strange reason) right now. Aside from that, when I was prototyping and making samples myself, I used a vendor on Rakuten that is no longer there.

I have a vendor I use that sources components for me so I don't have to and they get much better pricing than I can. This is why it is much more economical to have a GB for these things. If there is a common interest, I can get them made for cheaper than I can buy the materials myself usually.

Sweet, thanks for the info, I appreciate the resources! Finding a good source for these types of connectors has always been difficult for me

There is a bunch of room up there. I have the 24 pin male/female tap, a 6 pin Metripack GT150, and 1 pin and 3 pin AMP superseal connector up there. More room away from the windshield than towards it.

Here are a few pictures. I am just getting a little time to look at them. The red spade terminals will most likely be changed to something else. I don't like these. They feel cheap and look like crap. I will also be using 1/4 and 3/16 spade terminals to help avoid wiring things backwards. All wires are labeled. I still need to actually plug them in and make sure they are all wired correctly.

The green ones are what you would order to daisy chain more switches. The 12V power that operates the relay coil has a wye and female spade to run power to another switch as well. It can also be disconnected in the middle to isolate it from the truck side of the wiring, and/or use the other spade to supply 12V from your fused source.

Yeah, I am sure I can have it made..... PM me what you are thinking. I have the parts for the other one we were talking about but haven't had time to assemble it yet. That one is next on the list.

Do these have ignition power coming off the main harness into the green splitters? I’d like it to where the only wire I need to run is the trigger wire for whatever accessory I’m using the switch for...if that makes sense...

No, unfortunately. The connectors I am tapping into for illumination do not have 12V switched power. If you're using it with the 2LM harness, there is a spade terminal for supplying other switches that is fed from the 10A 4x4 ECU fuse.

I’m gonna be mounting my 2LM switch overhead and will have a front locker switch beside it too. So that works.

I have other aftermarket switches under the radio and in the cubby area. Was hoping to not have to run a t-tap off a random ign + source.

Got it. I started looking into it and got side tracked. I will take a look again.

honestly, I may just use a small fuse box under the dash and run it off the trailer brake harness. It’s a 40a circuit and has both constant and ignition power from my understanding.

It has constant but no ignition. Illumination and ground though.

Yeah, I remember getting discouraged a while ago when I was looking because there really isn't a good source that is convenient to get to in the dash.

yeah and I really hate using add a fuses. I like to keep my wiring clean where you can’t even tell it’s not factory.

Same. That one I just posted I will see if I can find a source for the connector.
