Jesus dude. Do you need me to hold your hand during the install?

I helped about as much as anyone should need. These aren’t some mystical lights that need an install guide written by MESO. They are lights. Look up anywhere to install the lights too have. I’m sure the original manufacturer will some instructions.

If not adding a relay is super easy. Again I’d suggest looking up how to install aftermarket lights with a relay. You’ll have to do some extra wiring for the relay (if you really need help here I can see what I can find for you lights to help).

As for sealing it...that’s even more straight forward. Put some sealant on the light. Stick it down. Wherever you want a seal add sealant. Probably a lot less than 1/4” bead you’d do for a gasket. Worst case you’ll have do you do some clean up.

I’ll be installing mine this weekend. I have the kc lights and a 3rd gen extended cab so it’s not the same. I don’t have a relay. I can take some pics of sealing it if that helps?

Edit - that install guide posted above answers everything you need to know about install it except the relay as you said. If you want I can find a link to help you with the relay.

I agree, and I figured it all out anyway. It was my fault for assuming it was a 123 type of thing anyway.

Hey guy, I didn't ask for your help so why don't you piss off? I could figure it out but I don't think it's a lot to ask for some instructions to make sure I'm doing it right. Imagine if all the millions of products sold in America didn't come with instructions but a letter that said "if you're buying this you should know how to do it". If you don't understand what I'm saying then you're just going to have to get over this. I really don't need to hear any more bullshit out of you. You have nothing helpful to say SO PISS OFF. Jesus this site could export clowns to the circus for an eternity.

You know what, let me make this easy for both of us. I'm no longer able to see your garbage so talk all the shit you want.

I’ve had my KC-5 3rd brake light for about a year. It’s basically just three wires to connect. No relay neeed. Very simple. I think @MESO must have put that statement in there by accident. I can’t think of any reason that you would need a relay.

I guess you didn’t read my whole post. No worries. Now that you’ve ignored me I won’t have to worry about providing the help I offered. Thanks!

Yeah I don’t know either. Usually you need a relay when you have a high draw and don’t want your signal wire to provide that power.

The only thing I can think of is if you are stringing five (or whatever the count is) you might end up with lower voltage but that shouldn’t affect the LED’s.

I’d be curious to know what the reason is.

the reason many use a relay is to isolate the switch from ground which seems to affect the fob signal. some report no response from the fob when cargos are on.

Depends who you are and how custom you are going. :deadhorse:

I just installed on my third gen. Used two red for brakes and two amber for strobe. Took me about two hours taking my time.

Whatever is on the front page. I think the housing was 130? I got the lights from Amazon because I wasn’t sure what I was doing and wanted to get the order in ASAP before it closed. But it’s about the same price. 28ish bucks for the kc ones x however many you need.
