    I'm sure there's other ways to do it how you explain it definitely sounds like it's easier for sure, that's just how I went about it and didn't take very long. As long as it's 12v switched power and a solid ground then you should be good to go :thumbsup:

    The one in the instructions is an older version. It's a slightly different depth wise but pretty much an optical illusion.
