You don't need the rear carrier bearing drop kit since there is none on the regular cab. Check some of the other places like Headstrong or Wheelers, they might have am OME kit for less. My truck has an add-a-leaf (not sure what brand) and it works fine, it's stiff but so are the 885 front springs.

I've got the 884s and the 90021s in the front with the stock UCAs (I need to upgrade soon) and in the rear, I've got the medium Dekar leaves and so far I definitely enjoy it. I'm not sure what your ride quality is at the moment but the OME will be a little stiffer and because our trucks are so much lighter than the others you can feel it a bit more. I tend to air down pretty often if I know I'll be on dirt more than 5 miles really helps feel less like a tractor.

I always forget about Tacoma World. I’m mostly on Facebook groups (Toyota Tacoma Enthusiasts & Toyota Tacoma Regular Cab Nation ). Still have my 2008 4x4 SR5 5 speed. I sold my topper and regret it. I did the full 2011 facelift with Grill, TRD Sport Smoked Headlights, and LED Tail lights. I picked up a set of 2019 Tacoma XSP package wheels that are KMC XD128’s in 17”. I installed a set of Nitto Terra Grapplers in 265/70R17.

Just got back from a week long camping trip in the Eastern Sierras. My wildpeaks are pretty worn and spun in tougher sections of the trail.
I am currently running 265 75 16. I'm debating going to 285 75 16 for my new tires. Should I expect a large decrease in power or will it be minimal? Manual transmission. I only commute 4 miles to work and drive like a grandpa anyways.
Also, I'm looking at cooper st maxx and stt pro. Does anyone have any input on either tire? Any other aggressive tire recommendations?

Have you looked at km3s or trail grapplers?

I have taken a look at both. They both look like good options. Trail grapplers seem to weigh quite a bit more than the others though, but damn they look nice. I like the idea of a hybrid AT/MT tire.

Good to hear, I imagine it wouldn't be too big of a deal. I'm assuming you're on stock gears?
How's the road noise? Overall impressions of the stt pros?

Those look sweet. Debating just going to a full mud terrain because of how little I commute now though.

I run some Chinese/Taiwanese MT's in 285/70r17 and it does okay driving into the Sierra's. They do drone pretty bad on the freeway but I'm used to loud vehicles.

Looks like an awesome trip! I have 285 general grabber ATX. The loss of power to me was minimal and well worth it. May be different if you have an auto. I had grabber AT2's prior to the ATX and have nothing but great things to say about them. Wear amazing, excellent grip in rain mud and snow and relatively quiet for an AT tire.
