    It's DLX son!
Had a small crack start on my rear hinge, but it's stayed the same for months now. Supposedly the GFC mobile repair folks will be coming through my area in about a month so I'll have them reseal and replace the hinges all around, as well as my front and rear tubes that puke rust.

Keeping my fingers crossed that it addresses the only issues I've had. Still really like the design and there isn't anything else out there that would work as well for me.

Awaiting mobile repair still. At least we have tentative dates now.

    No new issues at least.

Same old issues are getting really annoying.

Anyone try driving with the tailgate down? Need to haul something long and wondering if it is safe to do this.

I used mine like this on a 6 hour jaunt, no issues. I bungeed down the rear door so it wouldn’t move around. Nothing happened. Not sure what kind of concern you would have? Though I guess rear doors have not been reliable as of late.

Yeah mostly concerned about stressing the hinges but probably being a little too cautious. Thanks!

Look at the forum post he linked to. Basically if you are having an issue with your hinges now, they are going to replace hinges on those units first, either in person at their shop or on the product improvement tour. If you just want to have your old ones swapped out they will do that too after the warranty ones are done.. contact support@gfcengineering.com.

Glad to see they seem to be treating previous customers right. May take a while to get a proactive upgrade but I have less concern with my current hinges knowing if something goes wrong a while down the road that I'll be covered for warranty purposes with an improved solution

No email blast here. Has anyone gotten an update on PIT dates and schedules?

It’s about freaking time a solution was implemented. Hopefully it can be rolled out quickly. Waiting for hinges to fail again has gotten real old.

Got the email...I asked about campers that do not have faulty hinges or lack of symptoms...I might have jinxed myself.

Just to make it easier for people to see the different ways the new hinges are being offered.
