Anyone else get in on MESO when it was low earlier this week?
Hit quite the drop on Aug10-11 but sprung back up this morning.

There were a few people who bought on the drop this week, then cashed out this morning. Nice 45% gain, only had 3 shares though.

I'm talking just the underlying stock price. My goal is to look at data to see, for example "Okay, the normal shift is at most -.05, so my stop limit $ should be .07" (or whatever the numbers work out to, etc).

I nailed the drop and got out this morning too. Only 2 shares though.

I only did 10. Wish I did more looking back but that can be said about many things.

Debating about PTGX as a long hold with a potential to drop as a short term hold if I get to +10%.

Just use the data provided by yahoo or something. If you can see the stock price open high low and close, you’ll know how much it moved. I haven’t seen it in graph form

Roger that. I can definitely get the historical data and do it out myself, just wondering if there was anywhere that already did it.

I put it together with actual numbers this time instead of something made up o_O used VTI, as an example of what I want to see:
    2020-08-14 13_44_38-VTI (1).csv - Excel.jpg

Easy enough to do myself but it takes some input, can't quickly search for a ticker symbol, for example.

I look at the delta. This will tell you how much it will move for every dollar it increases or decreases. Before buying a call or put you need to look at the volume as well. The price maybe cheaper at a certain price but if no one is buying or selling that’s not good as well.

Typically I’m about 10 percent or so out.

Would this help? Excel does stock history now and you can get the daily high and low. Add a column for the difference and do the math for it. Then create a chart with the dates and numbers you came up with. Would that do it, or is that what you used for your example?

Definitely something new to me I haven't seen that function before, cool! That would do it. Looks like my work computer excel doesn't have that function so might be a newer thing than I have native, BUT might work online. Interesting. Not exactly what I was looking for, I was looking for similar to google I can search "NYSE: MESO" and the stock shows up with chart, was hoping for something like StockPriceDelta.net or something that I could just put in a symbol and it would do it for me quickly, but I might actually be able to build that myself using this function....off to test if it works online...:D

Looks like it's focused on options. I'm looking at only the stock itself, say I was holding VTI (like my chart above) and set a stop loss in case shit hits the fan again, if I set it for -6 or -7, it wouldn't get accidentally triggered by just a rough day instead of a full on toboggan ride like we had in March, working to set some automated stop losses just in case.

that is one that is annoying the heck outta me. Nothing but down since I bought. Averaged down to .1739 today (down 23% overall).

got shares of CTRM averaged at .243/share that is also a thorn in my side (down 30% overall).

Picked up OPTN earlier. I know nothing much about it, but it was trading near 7, they offered shares at 5.85, and stock dropped to 5. Slowly working its way up. Not my usual play, but I’m bored :hattip:

which of you have done the "pay off your house early" or "invest" with extra money calculations? What route did you decide to go? I'm in the "invest" camp, and all I can really understand is that if your risk tolerance is low, pay off your house early instead, while forgoing possible market gains (possibly hundreds of thousands of dollars)
