[IMG] Back from it’s final frame check. She’s solid as can be. Finally okayed to get some sliders on it. And I’ll look into having frame plates made for the rear half of the frame

Stiffening the frame up a bit. Tons of frame flex in these trucks because it’s all c channel from the motor mounts Back. You can watch the bed flex on the highway

Gotcha. Sounds like a good reason to box as well.

I’m probably not going to box it because rust belt. But I’ll post the outside of the frame

Plate the outside of the frame from the rear slider mount back. That’s where most of the flex happens. And if I put hammer shackle mounts on it I may run a extra rear cross member. Just give the truck a much more solid feel

If you're worried about your ball joint don't waste your time sourcing Stock UCAs.

they don't have the ball joint as a part of that unit. The ball joint is pressed into the spindle and the UCA nests on top on the spindle(steering knuckle) aftermarkets like the SPC use a different style ball joint that makes it apart of the UCA

Plus used UCAs are going to have bushings that are more than likely cracked and worn and it's a bitch and a half to replace the bushings in those arms. And they don't make a good aftermarket bushing option unless you wanna go ES poly. I'm a fan of rubber (like the whiteline brand for the LCA) but if you want runber you have to buy OEM

Hey real quick is our cam bolts suppose to be torques to 155lbs cause I’m pretty sure that’s where my popping is coming from on my driver side LCA.

This is what I use to reference torque specs

Zane posted it up awhile back and I keep it printed out in my truck, always comes in handy

I recommend laminating it with packing tape, I had to reprint it a few times before learning that lol.
