Nice! There are a few on Craigslist, but I would have to buy new rubber. I'm still on 15" wheels.

You can find a set of 4 between $150-$250

I got mine for $200, and bought new all terrain tires to go with. Kept me all under $1k

I'm also glad that you are able do that. It's a ton of time and work to do the trip, none the less document if or the rest of us to enjoy.

The biggest road trip we've done is the west coast - SJ CA to Olympia WA and back. 7 days on the road not much of an agenda just a direction and a whim. We had a great time exploring and making friends. Just wish I had more time, life is too short.

What s the offset on those? Needs to be 0 or negative, correct? Negative pushes the wheel out, right?
Ive got 03 4x4 and doing the Tundra kit soon.

Kinda like the look of those. Im still on the snowflakes.

Yes negative offset pushes the wheel farther out.

I think you're asking about the 4Runner 5-spoke wheels shown in the first post. Offset on those is 13-17mm as they are 16x7 wheels with 4.5-4.625" backspacing. Note: I always find backspacing easier to understand, so I used .

As 7" wide wheels, you can't run very wide tires on them - I run 255/85/16's, but narrower tires are generally better for offroad (and pavement, frankly) as long as you don't mind the look of skinnies.

As far as Tundra upgrades go, here's a link to all the parts and a step-by-step with photos of the process. Hope it helps!

How could you say something so controversial, yet so true?!
