Started Mr. Inbetween on Hulu...first episode was great. Australian dark comedy about a dude that's divorced with a little kid and does crime-for-hire.

Australian dark humor never lets me down

If you like Australian dark comedies you should check out the movie "Kill Me Three Times" (2014) with Simon Pegg. Pretty amusing.

I wasn't sure about it at first but once it got going i really liked it. Hopefully the production shutdowns will be over soon so they can get back to filming the next season.

I thought production shutdowns were lifted? I use to work in the industry several years ago and have a few friends that still do on FB, a lot of them have been back at work for a little while doing filming but with very strict regulations. A lot of liability waivers and testing etc.

I'm curious how those regulations are going to effect overall production, like how actors apparently have to maintain a certain distance from one another even for scenes. Seems like it would make things difficult.

I really want season 4 of Snowfall to come out but it was put on hold, damn Covid

We are halfway through Space Force. It has definitely made us lol a couple of times. We had no expectations going in so that probably helps!

That was a great show, I blew through that season in a weekend. Goes by fast with just 10 or so 30 min episodes but it was really funny

It was actually cancelled. But it’s had a really positive response on Netflix so maybe they’ll pick it up. Id love to see a spin-off focused on Jay Kulina. That character is crazy lol

To the cable chat above - yep we dumped our cable TV and land line (on cable) several months ago. Man we should have done it sooner! The ONLY thing I don't get from that pile of mostly vomit is MLB. And I just don't care anymore. We realized we had not watched any regular cable for many months..........knocked $170 or so off PER month.

We have been enjoying Gordon Ramsay's "Uncharted". Not a real fan of the showman but this series is quite watchable. He goes and cooks in some very cool spots.

The Street Food South America run is way better than the Asia season, IMHO. Really really fascinating - and I thought I knew South American cuisines.

That sucks, I hadn't heard that. If I remember correctly the BBC was originally producing it and then Netflix picked it up for the last couple of seasons. Also wasn't sure if production restrictions had been eased in the UK. Hopefully if it has been cancelled someone will pick it up and run with it like what happened with The Expanse, which is my current favorite Sci-Fi series.

Just cruised the first season of Rake on Netflix.

I’m really enjoying it. Australian drama. Protagonist is a dark horse you can’t help rooting for.

I watched this on Netflix when it was like 98°F outside a few long days ago: World's Toughest Race: Eco-Challenge Fiji

    https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-e&q=amazon+prime+world%27s+toughest+race

This is a 10 part - series show covering the actual race. It was extremely entertaining to me, my wife thought parts were repetitious (true enough). She really doesn't like watching much of any human competition on the idiot box, I am frankly missing some sport viewing. I cannot say this show will be for you, but I was inspired by all the "older" folks to get up and do something active (still waiting on my new bike).

The race is tough. Holy bloody hell. Heart wrenching. Hardly any sleep............Day 7, 8+.......hiking running swimming biking boating climbing and more.....Teams from Brasil, USA, NZ, AUS, Canada, Spain, Japan, etc........

And Fiji, oh Fiji is drop dead gorgeous

I will say nothing here of the teams and outcomes.

Just finished Season 2 of The Umbrella Academy on Netflix.
I liked Season 1 better but 2 is not bad, and it ends with good setup for Season 3.
