Magnuson supercharger install here at down east offroad

I had emailed magnuson and they finally got back to me

 

I would like to have one, but that is a lot of coin for a motor that really doesn't make a lot of power to start with. I loved the SC I had on my 03, but the 3.4 ran like a raped ape to begin with. Just have a hard time justifying putting any money into this 3.5. It will be interesting to see how well the simulated atkinson motor handles the extra boost.

 

I put myself on the list with Magnuson. Will wait for CARB to be issued then press purchase button. Now time to save up - looks like December time frame. Maybe a Christmas Sale! Might be a wait-in-line list but I am on it!

 

Ya know you had a bad day when your Jerky Oven brakes down at 12:00am. Than you go online to see that the supercharger that you want is ready for sale. You purchase it and then they tell you that CA can’t have the part because of CARB. Then you see OV tune promoting the twin turbo set up on the thread. I can’t really blame OV for pushing there product. My last post was kind of a bitch ass post. I have nothing bad against OV. I do see that there a top notch manufacturer and I do think they are good guys with a nice product. I see OV with really excellent customer service. And all there programmers are top notch. Maybe a little envy because if you want the turbo system. I’m sure they would sell one to me in CA. So ya I had a bad day and took it out on OV. Sorry guys I’m not like that. I push my corporate products everywhere I can. When I see the competitors in my field I flex and push my products as the best all the time. When I talked to Magnuson it looks like there getting approved by CARB in middle or end of September. Looks like another month will go by before I get my kit that was promised months ago. I’ll just lay down and Kick and scream until my supercharger shows up..Cheers and have a good weekend

 

OVTune didn't even promote their product here...

 

It wasn’t OV Tune, it was me and I didn’t promote anything. just posted a screen shot of the OV tune tt kit because someone on here said that a twin turbo setup on a taco is $25,000. So showed him otherwise.

 

What family of yours broke a world record? What class?

 

This is not a "for sale thread", it's a discussion thread. OVTune has every right to come in here and discuss the pros and cons of SC's vs TT's. Not to mention, he came in here to correct a bunch of misinformation that was posted.

This is the equivalent to a thread talking about BFG's and someone comes in to suggest Falkens. Perfectly kosher.

Now, if this thread were a for sale thread, posted in the BST forum, then you'd all have a point.

But it's not... carry on Matt.

 

It's for sure a promo thread. Homeboy is offering his services.

 

Then he's in the wrong forum... and no he wasn't. He posted a topic about how they installed a SC in a customer's car... discuss...

It's a quasi promo thread. Nothing wrong with it, not Hating at all.

 

Pretty sure the first post (OP) made no mention of services or parts for sale. Regardless, even if it did, this is not the BST forum and is subject to individuals offering their two cents.

If OP wants a safe harbor for them to sling SC's, then I recommend they obtain vendor status and post in the BST forum.

 

I just want to see the video of 0-100. And some off road at low rpm. And feedback on daily driving.

then the same thing for the snails.
