I did the same thing last year, but a habitat. The only thing I’ve done to the truck is I swapped to an icon RXT leaf pack (option 2) to compensate for the added weight and sag. I added a TRD rear sway bar a couple weeks ago which flattened out the body roll i would get on road. Pretty much perfect now.

Nice  I'm actually currently waiting on some custom Deaver springs and ads bypasses for the rear.
I knew the beds and rear frame flexed quite a bit on these tundras, but the camper overhang really exaggerates it a lot more.

I got the camper mounted up this morning. It was a pretty straight forward process. I still need to tackle the electrical and then Ill start to button up the interior bits. _DSC0032.jpg _DSC0030.jpg

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Clean! I like the way you mounted your OneUp rack.

Alright the time is getting closer and closer. I ordered a Summit a few months back but I am getting extremely nervous about the interior space and thinking about upgrading it to the Atlas. I've been thinking about this since day one but opted to save the money and also the wedge is best for windy conditions.

Throwing feelers out there to see how well their Atlas has performed in the not so great weather. Preferably wind. I end up getting caught in some serious winds a lot and leaned towards a wedge style but I really want that space back. Any one have any experiences to share with their Atlas and not ideal conditions?

I'm fixing to mount a new charge controller and I was curious if I could mount it to the inside walls with short screws? I figure 1/2" screws should be ok since they couldn't go all the way through the outer wall.

I didn't either, but I wanted to get another opinion. Aren't the side walls around 1" thick?

How about some super sticky double sided tape or velcro tape?

That’s probably what i would do. Just get some good velcro and stick it to the side.

That was a thought, but the back of the controller is a large heatsink and doesn't have much surface area.

How making a plate to mount that to where the controller is spaced so the heatsinks work and then velcro/ double sided tape that to the wall? That way you could move it around if you find a spot that works better for you.

That's a good idea. I may end up doing that.

rivnuts are the best option for interior or exterior mounting

FYI - i had my vinyl rip on my AT Habitat by just opening the tent one afternoon. I had an older green tent so maybe it didn't flex enough and the vinyl was the weakest part? Maybe it was dried out But i didnt see any discoloration? But it seems like an issue that shouldn't be occurring.

I am making this post as an fyi so people can know to keep an eye on it and condition the vinyl.

Out of the options presented, it was best to just eat the cost and replace the tent section. Lets hope the newer models dont have this issue. I also plan to condition the vinyl every 3 months.

In my opinion, i feel the vinyl is destined to fail eventually. I feel they are better off just having standard tent fabric rather than vinyl.

AT helped out with the swap and i am very thankful they are willing to stand behind their product. However, i wish the vinyl was standard fabric so it would never fail.

Counting down the days until i pick up my Atlas next month.....time is going slow wouldn't mind more truck stuff to think about.

all of the AT Habitat tents are stitched in (i think) Vietnam. Nemo was apart of the original design not the manufacturing.

as for the conditioning, the interwebs says meguiars has a product but mineral and baby oil works too. I am not sure of best option yet.
