Hey SwampYota. You’ve inspired me, so I’ll probably do that.
I’ll tag you when I start the thread.
Any suggestions on what the title should be??

    Interesting day so far.

Had an appt at Discount Tire to get new shoes @ 8:30am that I setup a week ago. They were going to order in the tires, so I called last night to confirm they'd gotten them and they said "Not yet, but they are coming from 45 minutes away, so we'll move you to 9:30am and you'll be good."

    No problem.

Showed up at 9:30am and got all checked in, which included paying and personally driving my truck into the bay.

    Kinda cool.

10:15am, they come find me sitting in the shade outside and tell me they are very sorry, but they don't have the tires yet.

Would have been nice to know that at 9:30am, ehh? Anyway, will just go back when they get them in. Fun times. They were nice enough to waive the install fee, so that's something.

Also, picked up one of these for the 4Runner. For anyone looking for a good battery deal, you can use the AUTO20 coupon to save 20% on online orders right now, and then there's also a $20 mail in rebate for X2 batteries. So this 24F battery (a rebranded Northstar) was on the order of $227 (pls tax).

Yeah, I'm getting old and remembered it wrong. It's AUTO20, and I've updated the earlier post.

Finally got around to changing out my old diff fluid...and yes I was really negligent about tracking the mileage. :sorry: But on a good note, the oil wasn't as bad as I suspected, and the magnet on the drain plug had a minimal amount of metallic fur on it. Fill and drain plugs out in that order, crush washers replaced on both, drain plug back in, pumpkin refilled with 80-90wt gear oil, fill plug installed and both torqued to 39ft-lbs. Quick clean up and a drive through the neighborhood revealed no new or odd noises. I checked the level after things settled down a bit and just had to add a wee bit more until it began to weep out of the fill hole again.

    Job jobbed.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
I see these hoses blow out all the time because other shops put them on wrong like that and within a year or 2 they pop.

Is that primer? What type did you go with? Someday I'd love to fix my terrible paint job.
