Lol I want whatever your smoking. Maybe the first iteration but they are getting much much better every generation. My S4 dsg never had any issues and took a beating. So did my wifes old tdi. Either way the point was that they are actually spending money and r&d on the dsg/auto/cvt transmission not the manuals. At one point manual transmissions were shifted on the column, had no synchros and only 3 gears. Over time they evolved, but they have reached the end of the road. They will figure out a way to have a non torque converter actuated automatic transmission that operates well at very low speeds. Only a matter of time.

They are spending the money on the ZF 8HP which I mention because its the transmission that is replacing the flappy paddle transmissions in all the high performance cars. Hopefully these excellent slushboxes will trickle down to everything else.

Audi RS6 had a flappy paddle, broke too much, the 8HP actually shifts faster.

BMW M5 had a flappy paddle box, it broke way before warranty ran out, now its an 8HP and AWD. Breaks much less often.

Aston Martin DBS had a flappy paddle box, now it has an 8HP and it doesn't break under warranty.

The 8HP shifts faster than the flappy paddle nightmares and doesn't break immediately.

I could go on, but you get the general idea.

Midnight Black Metallic is still an available colour for 2021?... I just want a base "Tremclad" Black DCLB.

Midnight Black is available on all 2021 Tacomas in Canada except the Trail package.

First they take away cavalry blue from the 2020 and now they take away quicksand from the 2021?! Does Toyota just want parking lots to be nothing but 50 shades of gray? I mean come on why does everyone want gray? I love Barcelona red, voodoo blue, quicksand, army green, cavalry blue. What’s wrong with having a little color to make the truck pop. The only reason I got a white truck was because it was the only color they had in the specific package I wanted at the time I needed to buy otherwise I would have loved to get a fun color

Keep an eye open on the White, that one does not have a Clear Coat and some seem to have an issue flaking off.

You must have never seen Cement up close, it definitely "pops" and changes color in different lighting, hardly a boring gray, its a 2 stage pearlscent, as opposed to a single stage SW...but I get what your getting at.

I haven’t, only while driving on the road. I do have to say though, cement is my favorite out of the grays

Ya agree, primer and earth tones is the in thing right now, I have no idea why they let quicksand go, too many blues makes sense and blazing blue pearl had clearcoat issues.

I would love to see something super unexpected like a yellow. My buddy has an f-250 Amarillo edition in a beautiful yellow that I think would look awesome on a Tacoma

Ya odd, they didnt do another FJ color like black cherry pearl, radiant red or sun fusion. But agree, across the lineup its a bit muted, but that's what sells.

It will be a long time before chrome and color come back into the mix. Everyone wants black trim and muted colors. I have the storm trooper look going with my truck right now and I don’t hate it.

agree 100%, why remove a distinct color with nothing close to it and leave 3 similar colors, Grays. Other than the three colors Black, White, Gray the Pro has always had a color to itself, like Voodoo Blue or Army Green, yet next year Toyota gives it a color that is used on other Toyota vehicles. I would like Quicksand or a tan, color of my first Toyota pickup, an 1987 turbo, second choice was Army Green, but I guess I have to go with White.

Come on now, you don't need those silly colors that make you look like a hipster.

    SuperWhite is RIGHT!

Seriously, white cars age the best, look the best, and they are probably faster too. lol

What??? No more Quicksand color? Is that really true? I was seriously thinking about trading in for a 2021 when they come out, but I HAVE to have quicksand!

Toyota has the 6MT in the corolla. Has auto rev matching for downshifts.

Wow, that is sad news. The rest of the colors to me at least, are SO boring. I mean, white, gray, black. Man, I get looks and SO many comments about how great my Quicksand truck looks! I am only thinking about a new one for 2021 because of the dang wife! She has had me driving all over the place over the last year since I got my 2019 truck, and now I am about to turn over 30,000 miles on it! Also, despite my favoring the looks of the 4-door, in all honesty, I have found that I do not use the backseat at all, except for carrying things that won't mess it up. I didn't realize how MUCH I would miss having a 6ft bed in back. So I have been seriously thinking about a 2021 AccessCab but in the TRD line, and in quicksand. Now though, it looks like I will be keeping my 2019 if they are doing away with quicksand. Wow....

Especially a few years in when that "awesome" super white paint is flaking away...
