Mesa woman arrested on suspicion of DUI after SUV hits house

An 18-year-old Mesa woman police described as extremely intoxicated was arrested on suspicion of DUI after crashing her SUV into a large tree that wound up against a house in a Mesa neighborhood on Sunday.

Lanae Cummins, 18, was traveling south on Longmore about 5 a.m. when she failed to stop at the intersection of West Kiowa and drove into the front yard of the home, according to police.

Police said her vehicle struck a large tree that fell on the house, heavily damaging her car and the residence.

Cummins was taken to the hospital with injuries, but no one inside the house was injured.

The Associated Press reported Tuesday that Cummins told police she was playing a drinking game at a friend’s house with the caffeinated alcoholic beverage Four Loko. The drink contains 12 percent alcohol - 24 proof - and is sold in 23.5-once cans and is banned in some states.

Thats just someone being retarded and driving drunk. You could say vodka or Listerine could have been the cause of that

My roommates and I JUST tried Four Loko this weekend for the first time. It was an experience to say the least!!!!!!!! Off the wall for a good 5-6 hours, and when the caffeine wears off, you crash once you sit down. It was worth the try before it goes off the market, and would possible to it again at some more parties.

haha i know i have a problem, slowly dealing with it, not getting blackout drunk all the time anymore but still doing more than i should. Runs in the family bloodlines bad alcoholics on both sides, and i went to CSU, Chico for college which didnt help either, appreciate the support.

fuckin gay. i dont drink but i also dont think the govt should be all up in everybodys shit. nobody died due to it. (drunk driving is the persons fault. not the drink) everything in moderation.... idk why people voted no on 1100. this is the kinda shit they will pull. WA needs to not have liquor monopolized by the state.
