What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

That happened to me while stuck at home back in April. Critters got in there and munched on my wiring. Not just the insulation, i mean the wires were gone, chewed right down to the connectors. Cost nearly a kilobuck to get fixed. Insurance paid the bill. I'm told this is fairly common. Honda sells an anti-rodent pepper tape you can wrap your wiring with. I've been spraying peppermint oil under the hood occasionally.

Ticks me off that the four or five of other people's cats that like to hang around my house couldn't at least make themselves somewhat useful.

 

Gave her a bath. Now I can't stop staring.

It's supposed to last a month, but I hosed down the engine bay after a wheeling trip, so I'm respraying.

If you do the transmission fluid change be sure to put in the exact amount that you took out and that it is at the same temperature as the fluid you took out.

 

I took a cue from a few other members and added this small bag to hold my wallet, phone etc...

Installed a magnetic gun mount. I really like it so far. When you grab the grip and push, it chambers a round and easily comes off the mount.

$100 for transfer case fluid change??? Sounds like they are using straight 75w90 oil for that and not the Toyota brand LF oil specified in the owners manual. The best price I’ve found on that is $80 a qt. Guess what... it takes 1.1 qts. :/

A lot of dealers pull this, I wouldn’t trust a dealership with this one. Well, personally I don’t trust dealerships with anything in that list.

 

I always thought those were gimmicky. Why wouldn’t you already have a round chambered?
