Turn signal failure on new truck

Hi all, have a 2020 with the LED lights and sequential turns. My drivers side turn stopped working. It will usually do one sequence then the dash then stop working. The dash indicator will be blinking and be audibly at double speed. Truck only has 2400 miles on it. Anything I can easily look at before I can get it to the dealer?

 

If you did any aftermarket electical/electronic upgrades, remove them first and try turn signals again. Hopefully that will solve your issue.

If you didn't mess with your stuff yet, just take it to the dealership, let them figure it out

It's a new safety feature from Toyota - no more left turns allowed, you have to make 3 right turns instead!

 

Do they still teach those in driver's ed?

 

Check the rear blinker bulb

Ok so that was interesting. Rear and the mirror signal blink double speed like the audible sound and dash indicator. It’s the sequential turn that goes once and stops...

 

Is the rear bulb burned out? Trip the hazards and check out the bulb to see if it's working.

It's all LED *except* for those cheep 3157 bulbs in the tails.

 

the rear turn was blinking double speed. Is it the tails that could affect this as well even if lights not on?

 

One of the ways tell there is a bulb out is when the blinkers operate at faster then normal speeds.

 

OK so the rear bulb was flashing? It's the upper part of the "c" in your tail light. Running the hazards made them both blink? High speed or normal with the hazards?

The flasher is controlled by the computer, there is no separate flasher unit in these trucks. If your bulb(s) are working in the rear and not burned out you have a dealer test problem. The LED units are not user serviceable.

 

I had to add about a quart. Why does it come low from factory?
