Hey all, so for the longest time my truck only seems to shift into 4wd when it’s cold. I know it’s odd, I’m not sure why. Basically what happens is if i start it up and shift to 4wd on a dirt road before the engine has warmed up it’ll lock into place. If the engine is warmed up the light just flashes continuously. I’m inclined to believe it’s one of the actuators but not sure which one. Has anyone else had this problem and what did they do to fix it? I’d rather not buy a new actuator if not needed but i dont want to tear into anything without some feedback first. Thanks!

I’ve been doing quite a bit of reading. I have determined it’s the front. I can hear the rear shifting. Now I’ve gotta decide if I want to replace it or solder it... seems soldering is a hit or miss

    Yeah, but replacement is expensive.
It try to repair it first.
Maybe someone has come up with an aftermarket actuator?
Mine hasn’t gone out yet. I don’t even like to think about it. Lol

I did find one on eBay for about $80. Not sure if it’s OEM or aftermarket.
