I wouldn’t carry a loaded gun if I had kids in the car, if I was driving in a safe area... I can think of multiple reasons why not. I just don’t feel like my life is so threatened every little second of my life. But again I got no gun training so it could be that...

I appreciate this explanation. Thank you! I understand were the idea comes from.

You do you then. I also keep a fire extinguisher around. I sure don’t expect any fires or ever want to use it, but it’s great to have and ready to go.

You don’t have that fire extinguisher pre filled do you? Left in the truck you might have a thermal discharge when it gets hot.

I carry a loaded/chambered gun with my kids in the truck everyday. The gun isn’t going to jump out of my holster and fire itself. People kill people, guns don’t kill people

Nobody is debating that people kill people... you said you couldn’t think of a time were you wouldn’t carry loaded/chambered and I told you I could think of some situations. It’s not unheard of an accidental firing. I’m not saying it happens everyday but for me the risks outweighs the rewards. I understand that’s my opinion. Different minds different opinions. I’m not here trying to call you a bad father or anything...

I don't have a dog in this fight, but I think having the pin pulled on the extinguisher already would be more analogous to having one in the chamber? After all, PASS takes longer than ASS ;)

Did this grill change for the 2020’s ? I honestly can’t tell. Is it more matte versus previous years?

Best of both worlds. Trigger block prevents accidental discharges but can be easily removed when grabbing your Glock.B4CDA2D2-2166-4A86-A8AB-D9F7639D90D3.jpg

Or it might make you kill someone in a way that the law does not approve.

I had a friend once who should never have been issued a CC. He got drunk and pulled a gun on his neighbor across the street. The neighbor ended up beating him to death with a baseball bat. Nobody who knew him, me included, was surprised. And yea, I don't doubt for a minute that he sincerely believed something like that would ever happen to him. But it did and now he's feeding worms and/or pushing up daisies. IMHO, those possessed of the mentality that the have to be locked and loaded at all times are a disaster waiting to happen.

I appendix carry a G19 everyday and I have the Tau Development Group Striker Control Device installed on mine. Makes me feel better about holstering when it's pointed in that area... But once in the holster, there's no way something is going to get in the trigger area to cause it to go off. And I also carry one chambered, can't imagine why I wouldn't. Also I don't go places I think I might need it but evil comes to places that it shouldn't. If I thought I needed one I either wouldn't go to that place or I'd bring a rifle and backup.

I really don’t either. Personally I’d never discuss when or how I carry on any web forum. I do however consider the pin on a fire extinguisher to fall more in line with the safety on a gun. I’ve also never seen anyone carry a revolver with the “first” round missing. Oh, never mind, Barney phife does.

Being a Glock with the type of safety it has, l am more comfortable without a round in the chamber but with this mount, it doesn’t take any longer to chamber the first round than just grabbing the gun.
