An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
Little Bald has some nice views. I'm not completely sure, but I think the trail highlighted on the map is a hiking trail or, at best, a motorcycle trail.

I'm sure it will be different this weekend but Bethel Ridge was quiet mid-week. I spent Wednesday and Thursday up there and only saw one other rig and that was from a distance.

Yeah. All trails seems to have some errors in their categories.
I'm probably going to stay directly off 410.
I do need to run Bethel all the way one of these days.

I've run Bethel the three main directions into it. The FS roads aren't bad, but the road on state land up out of the Oak Creek Wildlife Area will knock your fillings loss. It's a cool drive because you start out in grasslands but it's really rocky.

I bought these tonight. Great find! They are the power ones I got for $170 originally $350!

Bethel is better if you catch it in the snow before they shut it down in winter.

Also was better back in the day before the guard rails/rope was put in.

Coming from 12 up the main road going up the ridge. It didn’t use to be that wide and they have like blocks with ropes or something like that now. None of that used to be like that. Been about 2-3 years since I last was on it.

I think your right. I hike up to a little dirt bike trail on the rim that follows the American
    River. Pic from said trail.695354C5-D0D7-4B9B-91D9-70C0CD3A4F71.jpg

Ah. Yeah, the road going up is nothing exciting. The trail along the ridge is nice but I have never taken it the whole way or back into the woods. Sadly, it looks like they did some logging up there. A great dispersed camping spot appears to be lost.

Phase one of getting my truck back off-road is complete. I hope these Delta Joints live up to the hype.

I'm glad I decided to replace the bushings at the same time and not attempt to do it on the truck with just a ball joint tool. The drivers side took 3 hours of soaking with WD40, heating and maxing out my little 6 ton Harbor Freight press with a 3ft piece of rebar to get it to break free. You can see where I was about to blow the joint apart before I wised up and found a socket that fit just right to press on the outer portion. The arms were dry as a bone though like they were originally assembled without even a light film of anti-seize, thanks Icon.

Also if anyone is looking buy a new house I highly recommend you look for a place with a flat driveway.

I'll second the flat driveway. I spend more time working on my truck at my parent's place than mine, just due to their driveway being flat.

Yeah, I already told my wife that the next place we buy either needs to have a flat driveway or a shop with room for a lift... let's go steep driveway :fingerscrossed:.

Luckily mine now isn't so steep that I can't do work in it but it gets real old getting up and chasing sockets all the time when they roll.

I just picked up a used Honda ATV (2012 Rancher 420). If you do take your Honda ATV into a shop in the PNW, is there a shop/dealer that you would recommend? The thing is in pretty good shape considering it has 10K farm use miles on it, but these things go forever. but I just want them to change all the fluids/oils (diff, etc) and give it a once over so it can properly live its new life of being a pleasure craft.
