@Hippiglass most of those wires you have there need to go. This is what your OEM wire harnesses kinda looked like before your friend (with all due respect) edward scissorhands got in there and tried to wire up Frankenstein lol take a look at the OEM wiring versus yours. :)

Like @DG92071 said and suggested, the last guy had everything wired up to a amplifier(s). You'll have to clean up his work and wire the OEM wires back together. It will be some work. I'm still trying to find a solid wiring guide. Stand by on that. :)

GD, looking at that wiring nest makes my head hurt . It has to be a bad connection or short somewhere.

It's painted, just letting it dry over night. I might post pics tomorrow in the sunlight, unless it looks like shit :bananadead:

I'm still waiting for my replacement harness on the slow boat from China. Any longer and I will probably just mickey-mouse the existing harness. :angrygirl:

Looking at the wiring harness, there isn't a connector that matches the original AUX port connector. I'm going to have to search and see if they make a 8-pin adapter

That's a project for another day. I'm trying to figure out how to get the reverse camera to work on the screen.

So I believe I found all of the necessary wires, I'm just waiting for Amazon to deliver my T-splices.

In the mean time, this is the OEM/Stock connector for the AUX port. 8-pin connector.

Looking at the Dasaita wiring harness, there are RCA connectors for AUX In. So the question is, is there a female 8-pin connector/adapter to RCA wire?

If you get the canbus for the rear view camera do you still need the 6 to 12 volt adapter as noted earlier in this thread? Question specifically pertains to 2014 Tacoma.

No you do not. I bought that first until it was clear the can bus is all you need.
