    8 cups of rice? That sounds like a shit ton of carbs for 2800cal. I eat 2100cal and 0 cups of rice :rofl:

    I do eat 20oz of chicken and 4 eggs though.

    My carbs come from oats (pre workout) and pop tart (post workout) other than that my only carbs are the low amount in milk I get with my morning and evening shake.

    Same for fat. Milk in the morning and before bed. Small amount in the pop tart. 3 Eggs mid morning. And 1 egg with dinner. All other food consumption is primarily protein (chicken).

    Not gonna type out all I eat or explain meal timing cause I don't know all that shit lol I just listen to what my coach tells me.

    Was more carbs than this before but we dropped some off cause I'm gonna try to cut to 265lb for nationals

    Also if it seems bland it's because I'm picky and told him I like to eat easy meals. I don't mind eating the same thing for an extended period of time.

    My 1 cup rice is 40g carbs (cooked obv). Could be more or less depending the rice you use or the amount of water you cook it with. I eat 350g carb a day.

    Everything you said is correct.

    However thats my argument for why people think dieting and getting lean sucks.

    1. You strip out an essential macronutrient that leads to cravings.

    2. You reduce a highly satiating macronutrient and typically replace it with carbohydrates which spike insulin and stimulate appetite.

    I truly believe if people stopped doing this they would not be as hungry.

    Wanting to eat a ton of food at one time is a psychological problem surrounding food a lot of people struggle with. Thats a problem that needs to be addressed not something we need to encourage with what I would argue as an unhealthy and unsustainable diet.

    The issue of hunger can also be heavily related to meal frequency and carb intake encouraging insulin resistence. Thats a whole other rabit hole that we don’t need to get into unless others want to.
    Eating often and eating high carbs will cause increased hunger. It fucks with your hormones and hunger signals. Fat does not do this (pure fat illicits zero insulin response)

    My carbs are up to 150-175g a day and I’m not doing well with this. Starting to feel crappy, jittery, and off.
    My performance is great so it may just be a necessary evil while I’m in my high intensity cycle.
    I have noticed that I want to eat more, I’m not hungry at all but I want to eat. Keto was more the opposite.

    Now I think there will be some individual differences from person to person. I may require more fat and be more carb intolerant due to my autoimmune disease and usual hyperthyroidism. I wonder how much that plays into my experiences in this.
    Carbs are typically proinflammatory which pisses my immune system off. A “normal” person may not feel that way.

    I can eat something wrong and have some pretty bad physical pain (joint/muscle). I’ve never heard the average person complain of this. We are talking enough pain for a muscle relaxer or opioid.

    No judgment but it is a shit ton. I have 2 cups of rice a day or 200g of potatoes and a cup of rice everyday.

    Beer is really my preferable carb source.

    I really do think it should be a crime to eat egg whites.

    It intices quite a bit of rage inside me actually.

    I have 4. One that shows if I don't wear long sleeves, even at that it goes right over the bone on the side of my wrist so you would see a piece of it. Other 3 are on my upper arms and one I make sure to keep hidden at work and around my parents.

    This is my low carb diet too lol. I easily over 500 carbs when bulking. I am a little high on carbs right now since I'm cycling insulin. Once I come off that soon I do lower carbs.

    That's another thing most overlook. Every BB is on insulin. They have to be or they will be in trouble from HGH. I take 3 iu Hgh which is only just 1/2 the typical BB. Most are 5-10 Iu and the giants in power lifting are probably 10-20.

    HGH causes blood sugar to naturally increase. I am always considered pre diabetic while on HGH at my dose. Can't imagine how the bigger dudes are... Anyway, I take insulin to assist my pancreas in the production of insulin. Taking exogenous insulin does not stop your production (or I'd be dead long ago LOL). It aids into it, giving it a break. If I continue to feed myself high blood sugar my pancreas will stop working properly eventually. Just like everyone with type 2 that does nothing for it... Anyway that's a rabbit hole.

    I do 0 carbs 4x a year for a reset of my body. The first 2 days are rough but after that, I am not starving (weird huh). This is where I 100% agree carbs increase hunger. The more carbs I eat the hungrier I get. That for me IS A FACT. We know everyone is different, but that's my experience.

    I am not set on high carbs forever. They have their place and I will find them someday.
