I never weighed them unfortunately. But I can tell you the carbon hood is definitely lighter!
Also, the scoop is fully functional with a ram air scoop that bolts to the bottom

You can tell it’s OEM as the pattern is not symmetric. The passengers side has 4 “blocks” and the driver has 3.(because they had to fit the TEXT in). Shows above^
I modified a factory graphic because that bugged me....plus it’s not a PRO anyway.

Only Stew has a functional hood scoop. The rest of us can only drool. Rock on Stew.

I know he put the work in to make his functional; but this one is made to be functional. I personally think it looks better than the sport hood, nicer profile

What’s the part number for the TRD Pro hood and scoop? Is that all I will need?

So color match the hood, paint the scoop matte black, get decal and I’ll be good to go?

    thx

You can just get a TRD Sport's hood and just spray/wrap/swap the scoop...
If you go for the Pro's actual hood, scoop, then paint match, and get the decals, then you looking at a lot of dollar signs $$$$.

Just go to the BST Hood Trading Thread, offer your hood in your color and trade+cash for the skewp'd version. Wrap/paint the scoop, and buy the decal from Importequipment or ebay.

so the TRD Sport hood comes with everything I need except the PRO matte decal?

i just assumed that both the pro and sport had the same part number?

I have a better chance of winning the powerball than me swapping a sport hood in that thread lol

The Pro's hood graphic is an optional add on. A Pro hood bought from the dealer would not come with the decal.

So yes, the Sport hood would be the same, and after searchIng around for a bit, the part number is the same also. It is basically just Hood Scoop/NoScoop for part numbers.

    TRD Pro Hood Graphic: PT747-35170-AA
    TRD Sport Hood: 53301-04230

But ye, the scoop is a hot commodity.

Yep .... that’s why I ended up buying mine from Toyota and having it paint matched.

The hood and associated scoop parts was around $600. The matched paint and installation was the pricey part (more than the cost of the parts) but “your mileage may vary”

I purchased it from Puente Hills Toyota during Toyota’s Black Friday sale. My normal dealer (Longo) was not on their list of sellers for the sale.
