Fitting 35’s with minimal trimming NOW ADDING LONG TRAVEL AND 934 CV’s

The big advantage to the CVs is the strength

 

That’s what I figured but wanted to check since they compare the articulation of stock vs theirs.

 

The strength at the extreme angles is also a big one and less chance for binding

 

The 934’s allow for the increased dropout the kit provides. I put a detailed description on the website for the 2.25” kit that explains the uniball clocking and advantages you get with doing so on the taco. The 934’s optimize the clock thus allowing for max travel

 

So if just the LCA on the LT kit moves the spindle 7/8" forward then using the LCA mounts to further push the LCA further forward wouldn't that create too much caster?

 

The LT kit pushes the lower arm forward 7/8” and the LCA up to one inch. If you go a full 1 7/8” forward you can align the truck with 4 degrees caster no problem. You also don’t have to push the arm forward a full 1” as it’s adjustable in 1/4” increments if you want less caster.

I personally love a lot of caster and just set my 81’ to 8 degrees at ride height.

 

And keep in mind the caster changes a lot throughout the travel so your ride height plays a huge part in alignment specs. The thing you want to avoid is having the caster go negative at full droop which I bet 90% of the trucks on this forum do so as they don’t get aggressive enough with their caster

 

I just took a pic for you guys... here is the LT kit at full drool with the arm a full 1 7/8” forward over stock and the caster is under 3 degrees +/- about .5 Degrees

For stock spindles this is the most innovative and one of those why didn't I think of that things with the way the gussets and double shear steering is.

 

why don’t you cut off those ears or brackets or whatever they are? See red circle. Originally used to hold the brackets for the OEM splash shield. They serve no purpose now so why not cut them off?

 

Cutting them off voids the factory warranty

 

I’m all seriousness they are not in the way of anything so I just leave them.
