Ps pete. I did a horrible job with this build. Lol. Forgot to keep the windows clear. Hella over spray (guess it matches my truck) horrible cutting on the lines. But ehhh. First build. Kinda like my truck. Haha. Ghetto fabulous

 

Slickrock was a zoo.

Fun otherwise. The new section near Alpine is nuts. I need to go back on a calmer weekend and do it again.

I broke my locking hub and my alternator is on the fritz but I made it home!

 

It's hot as balls out there.

 

That new section was really good wheeling. The rest of the trail was kinda boring.

Did you swap out the hub or just 3 wheel the rest of the day?

True. I walked that trail by myself the last time. I still enjoyed it. Still flip that fucken tree off evey time i pass it

Wow. Sunrise, rainbow, lightning! Gorgeous morning

 

The lightening has been beautiful all morning. But I hear there are several fires that started from this. Hope we can tamp it all down real quick! We don’t need to add a firestorm to this years fuckery.

 

Shit. Didnt think of that. No bueno. Luckily its also raining

 

Yeah my first time through. Definitely bottlenecked the trail so we had a line of about 10 rigs waiting. So we didn’t mess around too much. I want to go back and try other lines sometime.

It was just the outer locking mechanism of the hub so I couldn’t disengage it for the drive home. Which isn’t too bad but with a homemade front driveline my hands felt like they were falling asleep the vibration was so bad.

It was an absolutely AMAZING light show here in the Bay Area. Started around 0330. First knew when Sadie starting barking. She wasn't too pleased. It might have been her first Thunderstorm. I hadn't seen one like this since I was visiting wifeys relatives in the Minneapolis suburbs. All over the Bay. Bolt sideways, also. Multiple bolts in one area. Totally insane. And constant, all through the night.

 

It was my concern all night. Especially in my hood on a canyon ridge.

 

It’s hilarious how dead the city is now after a small thunderstorm. Was nice to get that sound of rain and distant thunder to get me back to sleep after it passed through.

Anyone heard of wildfire reports as a result?

 

My not so brilliant neighbors were sitting in the intersection watching.

We had more this morning. Overall, spectacular show.

 

Went to the Morgan Hill Cars & Coffee in the daily. Met some VW people.
