    Hey all,

Just wondering if any softopper owners have successfully watched a drive in movie from the bed, through the rear window? Looking for something to do with the kids and they are excited about the idea of going to the drive in and maybe watching the movie out of the bed of the pick up. I've got the screen windows and it would be nice to watch the flicks bug free. My only concern is that the window seems like it might be a little tiny to get a good view. Any owners have some experience with that? If you all don't think it'll work I might need to take the wife's dodge journey... which nobody is too excited about. LOL

For my 10 year old daughter and me, the drive in is one of our favorite activities! I do have a Softopper, but the rear window is the dark tint, so we've never tried watching with the window in place. I always try to find a parking spot in the middle of the movie lot, and removing the rear window panel completely is usually just a little more than enough to not block any part of the movie screen. That being said, I think keeping the rear window in place would be a little too small, but I guess it really depends on how closely to the movie screen you park.

You can see the top of the Softopper in the picture (this is an old picture). Just the roof is up, not the sides or anything else.

    Hope that helps.

I would enjoy the open air even if it means a citronella candle or some bug stay.

I just fold mine down when we go to the movie theaters if I need a better view.
