Makes much sense if the 2nd 150 wasn't really as good for towing OR general use. I figure it's like buying stereo speakers, better to have too much versus not enough for both present and future use.

The pooper duties come with a lot standard that is an up trim option on the 150s too. Nice truck.

Part of the chubbiest without tow mirrors might be people just buying too much truck because they can and want it, without wanting to deal with the negatives of a big truck. Which include towing mirrors, in daily driving.

sweet! How was it up there today? I’m down in R.I. on the east bay we had a few peeks of sun behind the clouds reminding us it was there. Otherwise cloudy and low 70s all day. It was a real 180 from sunny and upper 80s for the past month basically.

Mornin all. Spamming this thread again even though I said I wouldn’t.

I’m selling my 3rd gen short bed soft topper. I’m in providence, BUT the update to add is that I’m heading out to:

    • This week Tuesday through Thursday, Hartford CT
    • Next weekend southern NH (and the 95 or 495 corridors to get there)
    • Weekend after that (27th I think is the Thursday) heading up Thursday mid day to the NH Canada border area, then back down through VT with some other dudes from the forums. So that trip will take me through nh vt ma could bounce down to ct if need be, maybe southern Maine up to about York area on Thursday to derail my trip north.
Given all the extra travels figured I’d reup and see if there was any interest here. 400 if you’re on my route/meet me on my route (or pick up in east providence anytime), 425 if I go off my route, depending how far. Can/will bring the tools to instal I can help set it up on your truck.

Well I know I've said it before but I still can't get over the gas mileage our Camry gets! These pictures are not altered in any way.

This 1st one shows how we did from the summit of Kancamagus Highway to the Burger King in N Conway with traffic and signals.

    91.3 MPG! @ 36MPH for 33 minutes.

The next one is what we got when we went home. This was from the Restaurant in N Conway NH to my driveway

44.9 MPG @ 54MPH average (we went by Lake Winnipesaukee) for 3 hours and 13 minutes.

I was not coasting or hyper milageing or anything. Just driving with a light pedal most of the way. And remember that ours is a Camry SE model not a hybrid or anything!

Here's the pictures of Mt Washington yesterday!

(Ton of Mini's. More on this later).

For those who have not been there. The road goes from paved to dirt to paved again. This section was a bit scary!

If you look closely you can see the chains that go over this building to hold it in place in a wind storm.

hot damn! What year? My wife has a 15 hybrid and pulls off 50 or so. Looks like your first trip was pretty easy on the drivetrain but even still that looks like it would probably be like 25 to 27 in my truck.

Is the dirt section just in repair? I went up many moons ago, but don’t remember the dirt.

6 speed I am guessing..and did you use Eco mode?

My wife's Rav4 is pretty sweet with that setup, I can get about 31 highway not even trying.

So about the Mini's! There were approximately 50 X 75 Mini Cooper's in the parking lot when we got there. We arrived at about 5:45 and we were told that upon getting to the summit we would only have about 15 - 20 minutes up there before we had to start heading down because it would be closing. That's fine and there was a Ranger up top telling everyone we were going to have to leave because they were closing.
Well on the way down we passed all the Mini's that were being escorted up by Rangers.
When I got to the bottom I asked about it and come to find out they do special after hour things for bigger groups.

So my question is who wants to do a run up Mt Washington? Not just a run but a closed Mountain all to ourselves type of run! The director was telling me that they have had some pretty big runs of Jeeps and Mini's. If we were to do this I'd want to make this the biggest fucking run they have ever seen!!!
Fuck Jeeps! Fuck Mini's (I actually kinda like Mini's) but screw them!

Let me ask you guys. Do you want to show them how Tacoma's and Tacoma World Rules?!!!

doing anything later in the fall?

eh, wouldn’t be terrible but a lot of stress on transmission and brakes just to drive on paved roads. Maybe though.

Yea what works for you. Can't be Columbus day weekend and if for some reason it gets really cold out early I won't be able to
