Anyone else with a 2012 receive this in the mail recently?

I haven’t had any issues yet. Should I follow up with this and have the work done?
I’d hate to bring it in then have to go back again for something else that ends up going wrong.
I haven’t brought my truck in for a “service” in almost four years.
I foresee the “these things happen with a vehicle this old with this many miles” when I have to go back AFTER they perform this “SPECIAL SERVICE”.

    Thoughts?

Take it. It takes 10 minutes to check. They’re checking the secondary air pump filter.

Thoughts on having them do their thing, then follow up with doing the Uni Filter Mod?

Thats exactly what I’d do. Let them do the check so it’s on the record of them checking it. If does need the new style foam filter let them do their thing. Then Remove and install the uni filter mod.

That is exactly what I’ll be doing. Thanks.

Just make sure if you ever have an issue with the secondary pump that you remove your mod and put back the original filter in before taking to the dealer.

Is there a time limitation on this? Do these typically expire?
A friends vehicle is used for off-road purposes only and it has been removed, reprogrammed. However, they still have all the parts. If the vehicle ever sells or is intended for on-road use again they want this done. They are now wondering about missing out on getting a SAI pump, etc. Oh... it is honestly for a friend. Mine is an 09, no SAI.
Any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
