Went to replace my TPS on my throttle body. Removed the top screw and stripped out the second. Whose idea was it to put Phillips head screws in there. So I’ll be removing the whole assembly to replace the sensor. May as well clean it up while it’s off. Any recommendations for making it shine again?

A dremel with a wire wheel on low speed did the trick for me.

That looks really nice. Did you replace any screws with bolts with the same thread pitch?

I Did not replace any screws or bolts but I did take them out and clamped them in a vice while I used the dremel to clean each one

Finished them up. Everything is all back together, torqued, brakes bled, diff filled, test drove.

The truck doesn't growl at me anymore.

The heat DEFINITELY made this job take longer than it would normally take.

No... this was INSTEAD of my trip to Colorado. For now. We pushed our trip back a couple weeks because the truck started growling, and I pretty much knew what it was... driver side wheel bearing was fucked. It started making noise a couple days before we were supposed to leave. I should be in Colo Springs right now lol.

Well it’s much cooler here, haha, so expect a change of temperature, a little cooler anyways,
You have the champion radiator in there? No leaks? You have the 168 corolla thermostat?
