I live pretty close to the trail. If I was further away I definitely would have.

Plus I blew the alternator fuse so I was driving home on borrowed time. Make it to about three miles from* home and had my wife come and hook up to my battery to charge it enough to get home.

ReplaceD the fuse this morning and seems to be working atm.

I tried climbing up on to that section couple of times, but couldn't. Had to winch my way out. That is some straight up buggy type obstacle.

Same here in Santa Cruz mtns. My dog started barking about 2 am, I watched the light show for about 10 minutes then could not sleep worrying about wildfires. Rains hit about 3 am and could then sleep hoping the rain would put out any smoldering lightning strikes.

woke to find we were part of a rolling power shutoff and did not get power restored until after 2:00 in afternoon but at least no fires

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Finished them up. Everything is all back together, torqued, brakes bled, diff filled, test drove.

The truck doesn't growl at me anymore.

The heat DEFINITELY made this job take longer than it would normally take.

I went backpacking this weekend and came back today. When I turned off 17 onto summit I noticed all the extra debris.
On one hand I missed out on the action. On the other hand I slept well not knowing there could be a wildfire in my neighborhood.

Speaking backpacking. I woke up to a nice sunrise Saturday morning.

Cheers to no more growls, I did my front bearing assemblies Saturday morning. Got started about 7 to beat the heat.
