Once this Flowmaster wears out I was thinking of finding a Borla replacement muffler

Thought the same thing. There's a good bit of 4 and 6 cylinder motors that put out great power, are quick, and sound great. Ive always thought the nissan vq motor sounded awesome with the right exhaust.

@SouthernFried may want to rethink that statement.

I’ve just rethought it, and I stand by my statement. I’ve never heard a 4 or 6 cylinder engine in my life that I thought sounded “good”. What may sound good to you, is just noise to me. Not to mention, half the cars listed here are literal super cars. I don’t see how comparing a Toyota Tacoma to anything on that list is even remotely relevant. You do you man. You’re probably in your 20’s. Go ahead and throw a Flowmaster on it. Don’t be surprised when it sounds like a bumblebee.

I did exact same thing! Not a fan of exhaust tip. My buddy who installed did say chrome tip with Toyota logo was too nice to hack up and toss so he managed to tuck exhaust up above axel and welded Toyota tip back on and actually looks really clean and tight . You would only notice if look for it. Looks one off, and clean . I’ll try to post pic .

Super cars or not, all the cars listed have 6 cylinders or less. I don't think anyone was comparing a nissan gtr to a tacoma. However there was/is examples of 4 or 6 cylinder vehicles that do sound good with stock or aftermarket exhausts in response to your "4 and 6 cylinder engines have no business with aftermarket exhausts. They just don’t sound good" statement.

Since we're talking in assumptions, I'm gonna assume you put cheese in your shoes. Im not in my 20's and prefer Toyota parts on my Toyota.

But I do agree that not everyone prefers a "loud" exhaust. So at least there that.

I have a Dual SS ATR Pitbull exhaust on my 86 Buick Intercooled T-type. The best exhaust ever for that motor. Sound is awesome. Company is out of business since 2000, but their exhausts routinely sell for over $1100 on the used part market. If you can find one.
