Probably the same entrance where you go down past the portajohn right? I updated my post with pictures right after you responded but we set up in this cove area. An LC100 drove through the water to get to the island, but i wasn't brave/drunk enough to do it lol.

Did you add more fluid or do a drain or anything fluid wise? I'm hoping when I do mine the last quart of fluid I have will be enough to top it off

I've had them for 10k miles or so now. Haven't really noticed any difference between standard and them but wouldnt expect to either. Think the real test will be how long they last. I got around 25-30k on the normal joints but really needed to change them a lot sooner than that. The ptfe liner was pretty well gone when I changed them lol.

I'm going to drain and fill it here in the next few days. I'm ashamed to say I've never replaced the trans fluid... :anonymous:

I'm sure most of our trucks haven't.

Skip the drain and fill and just replace it all IMO. Goes quick. Just need 12 quarts or so. It's not much more work. Just disconnect the rubber hose from the return line (it's under the radiator). Get some tubing and run it to a bucket or something (one that shows quarts is nice). Then just turn truck on for a couple seconds. The pump will move fluid to the bucket. Then just replace however much came out. (Generally stick to between 2-3 quarts). Fill with whatever came out. Repeat. You'll notice the third time it's pretty much new looking fluid. Then just top off and do the whole get to temp and overflow check

When running the truck it only takes like 8-10 seconds to get the 2-3 quarts. Basically enough time to start, make sure it's actually going in the bucket then turn off

Thanks for the info! sounds super easy that way. Return line on the bottom of the stock trans cooler, that means i hooked up the extra cooler the right way lol

It's more crawling around but gets a lot more of the old fluid out. You'll know when you are done as (least for me) it was like dark fluid, dark fluid, less dark, then close to new. I stopped at the close to new looking color and figured it was good. I did it solo but having two people would make it go pretty quick. Honestly only took like 30 minutes even by myself (plus more time for the overflow check portion).

Those like orange siphon pumps (with two hoses, on going to the transmission fill and one goes in the bottle) worked a lot better then the standard pumps that screws onto the bottle IMO.

Anyone have access to a press? I’m trying to press out some bushings from a pair of control arms and I’d be happy to pay you for your time!

Man just rewatched Top Gun the other day while prepping some ribs too lol. I was more concerned about water getting into the cab. The LC looked like it was on 35s and a tad taller. I still want a snorkel, just not any of the premade ones out right now...I think I'm going to have to order some pre bent aluminum and DIY my own and run it through the fender.

Has anyone figure out a way to over clock the blower motor on a second gen yet? The amount of air that it outputs is disappointing

And yes the cabin filter is clean
