Because it deteriorates and gets sucked Into the valves and causes tons of problems hence why we remove it and use a uni filter.

Toyota didnt start fitting them to the 4.0 until model year 2012. Likely was the only way to make this old engine compliant with the 2010 change to EPA green house gas emissions standards... Thanks Obama.

Yes I did, eventually the foam filter is likely to disintegrate and get sucked up by the pump and will cause far more problems.

[edit] Thanks for checking and looking out that I didn't leave the old foam filter in there and retain the "problem."

I got the sport instead of pro’s. They come with a custom bracket that is fit for the foglights. Took me like 10 minutes to do the install. The light output is pretty strong and it has a really clean cutoff line. I have 5000k acme hids

It will never move. Not something I would worry about.

Sounds like something my old man would do. He spent 6 hours at home depot negotiating another $40 off a floor model fridge. I left his azz there and came back when he was done.:rofl:

Solid score on the tool box!!

Yea I did it 3 years ago, he just didn't post a picture of it opened up. Trying to save him some trouble but just ended up making myself look dumb. According to my Wifey, I do that often.:rofl:

Thanks for this response! I've looked into their sideshooter ditch lights as well because I'm currently running some freebie Auxbeam lights and wanting to upgrade and good to hear they are well worth the price. Their price point seems to be a real sweet spot between cheap Amazon stuff and the Rigid, BD, Lightforce etc so I'm unsure why I don't see anyone running them or even asking about them here. Gotta ask though, why don't you see a full benefit of the amber up top? My thought was that it would spread better from a higher point on the truck vs lower but I've not actually experienced one of these in person so it's all in theory.

    Same crap everyone else got
Go check all your abs lines. They can be stretched and break within the wire casing pretty easily.

I guess that for how much I can really use them (offroad - due to them being so freaking bright I would blind others on the road or get pulled over immediately) the amber that I have with the lower grill will suffice for my needs. I would be using them in the rain and/or snow. They are a newer company (10 years) and I really don't see them advertising like Cali-R does so maybe that is the case. I know that they are huge in the Colorado market and maybe don't have the capacity to go bigger.....which in my eyes is a plus for quality control aspects. The only lights I don't have from them are my front 2 fog cubes since they don't make a sae cube as of yet.

Rebadged the passenger side of my 2010. I think I put the emblem slightly too high and it’s probably going to drive me nuts! Oh well, spent way too much time trying to measure out the right spot. At least it’s level!
