    Hey guys-
I have a 2008 TRD Sport DC that just got back from the body shop. It rained over the weekend and I now have this STRONG mildew like smell inside my cab that wasn't there before the accident/repairs.
One thing that I noticed was my passenger side headlight assembly was heavy with condensation after the repairs and i've made arrangements for them to repair that this week. The drivers side was the assembly they replaced, but the passenger side is the one that's got the problem on it (that was not present before the accident either).

Could this mildew smell be coming from that leaking headlamp assembly? I noticed under my Husky liners on my drivers side that there is a wet floorboard on the carpet.

Just want to get to the bottom of this bc it has NEVER smelled like that before.

    thanks guys as always.

If you have a wet floorboard and carpet then your getting a leak inside the cabin somewhere. A leaky headlight would not let water inside the cabin.

It would be helpful if you could tell us what areas are damaged on your truck. A damaged headlight isn't anywhere near the cab and won't let water in the cab.

Nothing is damaged anymore as it just returned from the body shop for a 7.5 week stay. Injuries sustained were to the driver side front bumper and fender/driver side front panel region
I was just pointing out one abnormality (passenger headlight condensation) that was discovered by me upon vehicle pick up which was Not there previously.
I don’t know what all they repaired. Posting a pic of vehicle accident for ur curiosity and areas that were repaired

I don't think the bodyshop had anything to do with the mildew smell, unless they left a window or door open during a rainstorm.

Prior to the accident, did you usually park under cover (garage or carport)?

Covered parking during daytime work hours. Non-covered otherwise, but as I stated many times, this has never been an issue during my 12 years of ownership of this truck.

how fast were you going to do that much damage though? That’s a lot of damage for it being minor

Don’t know exact speed sir. Was attempting to traverse across parking lot. Pole was in blinder of A-pillar. Thanks for the interrogation lol.

That’s enough of a hit to maybe make it leak. Mine leaked after a new windshield install. Lower corner is known leak are as is where factory seam filler is installed. You can see the with cowl removed. Me I’d get in there and check and comply with the service bulletins which cover leaks and reseal. May also fabricate and install a screen to prevent mice and rats from entering the cabin through air intake. I had leaks on both sides but got it all stopped doing this.

Yep. Would have been easier to clean the seat and wash clothes, he chose a big ass yellow pole instead. Oh well it’s fixed.
